"<< Background >>The project was born from different needs such as: - allowing new generations to reflect on climate change, identifying its causes and consequences, - knowing the eco-sustainable policies implemented in countries other than their own, - promoting behaviours aimed at safeguarding the environment in which we live. It is in continuity with other experiences in the sector carried out both by the Italian school, such as a PON module focused on sustainable agriculture and an Erasmus project aimed at safeguarding fauna, and by the Turkish school, such as a research initiative aimed at creating packaging with plant waste. The current project path has broadened the field of investigation, allowing the achievement of objectives relating both to civic and linguistic skills thanks to the partnership with a school having a different socio-cultural background. The involvement of DVA, DSA and foreign students in the various phases of the project, has implemented the feeling of inclusion, a need warmly expressed by school users. Finally, the project action allowed all participants to implement soft skills.<< Objectives >>The project, was born from the partnership between an Italian and a Turkish school and supported by the collaboration with university research centres (University of Bari ""A. Moro""), and private or state entities (Navy). This partnership allowed participants to learn about:- the environmental transformations underway, which affect the balance of natural ecosystems and the relationship between man and nature;- the initiatives implemented by governments to combat climate change and promote environmental sustainability. The development of the project path led to the identification and adoption of eco-sustainable behaviours, such as water and energy saving, the protection of greenery and the ""propensity"" for recycling, meant both as reuse and as the possibility of obtaining alternative forms of energy from waste materials. The aim of broadening the inclusive dimension of the institute and enhancing diversity was taken into account, in the implementation of the project, encouraging the participation of DVA, DSA and foreign students. The collaboration with partners of different cultures contributed to the development of linguistic, civic, digital skills as well as soft skills.<< Implementation >>The planned activities were developed as per the project:- the workshops in collaboration with the University of Bari, with the Jonian Dolphin Conservation center and with Kazan Mert Beekping promoted an understanding of the role played by bees in the reproductive process of flora and the relationship between climate change and terrestrial and maritime ecosystems;- the seminar by ""Ankara University Water Management"" on the process of purifying rainwater fundamental for the city's water supply invited participants to reflect on the importance of saving water and energy;- the visit to the Engin Recycling centre described the process of used oils transformation into fuel.Even the creation of a vertical garden, with the use of pallets, its care over time and the planting of acorns, which will give rise to cuttings to be planted in green spaces of the school or of the city, made possible a revaluation of the recycling process and a different attention to greenery. Group activities have been carried out both before and during the mobility . They have promoted not only a strong feeling of inclusion but also implemented linguistic, digital and soft skills among the participants.<< Results >>The questionnaires administered during the various phases of the project highlighted a growing interest in the topic and an implementation of knowledge with quantitative and qualitative references. This stimulated the participants' critical spirit and promoted daily behaviors useful for the safeguarding of our planet. The seminars held at the research centers at the University of Bari and Ankara, emphasized the relationship between the climate change and the ecosystems; they have also played an orienting role, since the approach to unexplored sectors of knowledge aroused new interests and attitudes. The creation of the vertical garden, with the reuse of pallets, and the acorns planting, may be considered as the starting point of a process that will continue over time; they also created a different relationship with greenery and a different consideration of recycling and separate waste collection itself. The different backgrounds of the participants promoted a vision of diversity as an enriching and non-discriminatory factor, while the involvement of DSA, DVA and foreign students implemented the inclusive dimension of the school; an experience, this latter, which has greatly increased the personal growth of all participants"
