<< Background >>Our application for this project was motivated by the urgent need to support climate-active citizens in developing resilience, particularly activists with limited opportunities, like grassroots (and rural) activists, and activists with limited finances. These individuals often grapple with mental health challenges like burnout and climate anxiety, compounded by socio-economic constraints and those in rural places, with the demands of rural organizing. The project was designed to offer high-quality, accessible education in resilience, regeneration, and adaptation, tailored to the unique experiences of grassroots (and rural) activism. Our aim was to equip these activists with life skills and competencies vital for effective change-making in times of global environmental and social challenges.<< Objectives >>1) To support climate active citizens and in particular activists with fewer opportunities through high quality and accessible education for resilience (i.e. the Resilience Co:Lab and the Resilience Training)2) To build transnational cooperation in education for resilience, based on 3 partners and 9 associated partners 3) To build capacity of facilitators and trainers, through learning, training and practice4) To create a Resilience Handbook, 3-5 Digital Tools and a Training Concept<< Implementation >>A1) Monthly Online Meetings and three transnational meetingsA2) 4+1 online talks and workshops on different aspects of resilience, also interviewing expertsA3) capacity building mobility for 4 trainers from AT and DE in ESA4) Developing Resilience Handbook and hosting 6 day Resilience Co:Lab for 18 participants in DEA5) 3 day Resilience Training for 24 participants in ATA6) Dissemination Events: 3 live (1 AT - 15 participants, 1 DE - 12 ps, 1 ES - 16ps) and 2 online (1 English - 16 ps and 1 German - 20 ps) + 4 additional events (see below); all together reaching 120+, many of which are in our target group<< Results >>O1) 180+ activists* gained a deeper understanding of key aspects and practices for resilience through participating in our activities - 80+ in online calls, 42 receiving a 3+ day training; 120+ participating in other live and online events (dissemination + workshops) connected to the projectO2) a foundation for continued transnational cooperation (shared agreements and project evaluation)O3) 5+ trainers have increased their capacity to deliver Training for Resilience through training and practiceO4) a Resilience Handbook in English and German(37 pgs), 5 digital tools, a Resilience Training Concept__* We did not track how many people attended several of our events and the impact that has on the overall number of people reached...
