This project proposes to study algebraic objects, in particular groups and fields, in a model-theoretically tame context. The relevant notion of tameness continues to evolve, incorporating more and more mathematically important structures, and giving rise to new interactions with other areas of mathematics. In particular we want to study ?elds with operators, where new links to the well-established study of groups of ?nite Morley rank have given rise to new applications in transcendence theory; the model theory of groups in continuous logic and the links with ergodic theory, the model theory of globally valued ?elds; as well as groups of ?nite Morley rank, revisiting the Cherlin-Zilber Algebraicity conjecture in the light of Frécon's solution of the rank 3 case.
