Management and optimization of electrical energy transfer is at the heart of our concerns. Specifically, the high-voltage, high efficiency and high power density converters are still awaiting conceptual and technological disruptions. This project aims to bring together academic partners in complementary subject areas, ranging from growth and the realization of new semiconductor materials for power electronics (diamond electronics) to their implementation in power converters adapted to the specificities of this material, through characterization and analysis of reliability and failure modes. This multidisciplinary project is required in the view of demonstrating both experimentally and theoretically the performances and the viability of a new semiconductor material in its system environment. These objectives intend to achieve an internationally unprecedented proof of concept to meet the needs of a sustainable, secure and efficient energy.
