REVE

We claim that the way energy poverty reduction is implemented should be thought of upstream in order to be consistent with some sustainability objectives. We identify four directions in which we intend to work, that have been insufficiently investigated in the literature and on which we want to bring new useful insights for policymaking. The first one concerns a developed country while the three other concern developing countries: (i) energy poverty in France, (ii) energy poverty, pollution and development at the macro level, (iii) energy poverty, pollution and development at the micro level, and (iv) access to clean energy. We rely on a many different methodologies: econometrics, stylized macro growth and environment models or micro industrial organization ones. These different approaches allow to deal with the many aspects of energy vulnerability we are interested in, to highlight the main mechanisms involved and to ultimately design energy policy.
