ITS-STORY

The HISTORY project is an experimental, exploratory and transdisciplinary project. We aim to explore the use of Mixed Reality in a Memory-based heritage. We focus on the Memory work on the role of Nazi transit camps during the Second World War. This application framework is interesting because it carries a particular ethical dimension. Making part of the museum project interactive, the themes of which refer to a painful past, could provoke ambiguous feelings among victims and visitors. It is therefore essential to keep a certain ethic in the way of transmitting the history of the Holocaust and the mechanisms at work in the context of the establishment of the deportations of persecution and repression. The scientific hypothesis would be that the immersion allowed by this type of technology and an ethical personalized interactive narration would make it possible to involve the visitor and promote historical empathy. The research question studied is: “How can we use Mixed Reality for Remembrance Work on the role of internment and deportation camps during the Second World War and which impact will it have on visitors?".
