The HyCube project aims at providing the market of hydrogen with nearly mature storage technologies based on pressure (target: transport) and hydride storage (target: large stationary storage for renewable energies) and at developing a solution combining hybridation of these two latter technologies (target: heavy off road applications). The more innovative part of the project (WP2) that is a combination of pressure technology (WP1) and hydride technology (WP3). This part needs a bit more development, particularly on compatibility of hydride materials with liner used in the pressure vessel, finding the right/best hydride complying with the specification and dimensioning the tank that is composed of a pressure vessel and a heat exchanger in which the hydride is inserted.
