The project is aimed at the HORIZON-CL4-2024-TWIN-TRANSITION-01 call: Manufacturing as a Service: Technologies for customised, flexible, and decentralised production on demand. The aim of this call is to develop competitive and reliable technologies for a European industry that is a world leader in key areas. The TRL level expected at the end of the project is 6, with a maximum budget of €7m. The FLEX4REA project aims to : - Develop a tool-based method for creating, developing and maintaining over time the organisation (including the integrated logistics support system (ILS) but also the ability to describe and formalise the production system, i.e. the machines, available resources, storage locations, etc. that each member company wishes to put forward and share depending on the opportunity of the co-development project), the operation (the processes that then organise the activities required for reasoned and profitable co-development) and the governance of the company. - To develop a tool-based method of co-design and/or co-development of products and associated services or services only, coupled with the design of the ad hoc production system, which can then be seen as a configuration of the SSLI(s) of the network of companies; - To develop a tool-based method to assist in the reconfiguration of complex, distributed production systems - Develop a method for building and developing Digital Mock-ups or Digital Twins that is deemed "suitable, sufficient, simple, useful and maintainable independently by companies" to enable reconfiguration to be anticipated, forecast, parameterised, controlled, simulated, validated, evaluated, etc. on an ongoing basis; - Implementing resources, techniques and tools to help reconfigure the organisation of the extended enterprise itself according to its governance policy, the opportunity of the moment, etc.; Implementing resources, techniques and tools to help reconfigure the organisation of the extended enterprise itself according to its governance policy, the opportunity of the moment, etc; - Implementing technical resources, technologies and tools for the effective implementation of reconfiguration in the technical sense of the term, for example the reconfiguration of machines or the reconfiguration of intra- and extra-company logistics systems. All these elements will be demonstrated in three use cases aiming for TRL6 level in sectors chosen by REFLEX4REA in areas that are fundamental to European sovereignty and for which MaaS is a major element of competitiveness: the manufacture of medicines and medical devices, the aeronautics industry and the manufacture of batteries. More specifically, the project deliverable will be a flexible and agile network organisation model incorporating digital mock-ups and various models adapted to the value chain of the various use cases. These various elements, in addition to the provision of a methodology, in the form of a 'toolkit', will enable end-users to comply with the ISO/CEI 29110 standard, which is a major competitive advantage for an industrial company (particularly an SME).
