<< Background >>We applied for the FranIT project because we identified the need to strengthen the cultural, linguistic, innovative methodological and inclusion skills of teachers and facilitators in order to improve the training of adult learners, migrants and prisoners. This is in line with the European strategy for multilingualism, which aims to facilitate social cohesion, integration and inclusion of adults with fewer opportunities, and intercultural dialogue.Specific needs:- To innovate in the creation of teaching tools for foreign language teaching, with multicultural and intergenerational groups of students, and for active practice in their daily lives and local activities in Brussels and Naples.- Improve the inclusion of our target audience as well as their autonomy in their integration process and their sense of belonging to the European Union.- Promote high-quality, innovative language courses tailored to disadvantaged groups (immigrants, women, prisoners).- Strengthen networking and cooperation between partner NGOs and improve through the exchange of good practices.<< Objectives >>- Improve the reception phase for immigrant students, strengthen the intercultural/linguistic skills of staff- Learn new teaching methods/strategies in order to attract hard-to-reach students- Create a stable and advanced team of FLE-Italian L2 teachers with integrative, innovative methods- Improve the management of multi-ethnic and multi-generational classes through inclusive and up-to-date methodologies and new teaching tools, e.g. language kits- Increase international cooperation, modernise the two NGOs- Growth of the two NGOs through the launch of new language courses and the exchange of good practices on inclusion and learning methods- Inclusion of new types of disadvantaged people, in particular low-skilled women and prisoners- Facilitate and shorten team building in multi-ethnic and multi-generational classrooms through creative, non-formal and inclusive methodologies that dispel prejudices.- Intergenerational meeting and learning between language teachers/educators from both countries- Promoting EU values of tolerance, inclusion and non-discrimination to enhance the value of diversity<< Implementation >>A1_Planning, creation of preparation and control tools (risks and budget), exchange of methodologiesA2 _Manual compiling best practices and methodologies in terms of inclusionA3_Thanks to international cooperation between our cultures, create a visual language learning kit, with instructions for the most effective games tested to improve linguistic and cultural inclusion.A4_PILOT COURSE to create, test and experiment with methodologies and evaluate the effectiveness of the teaching kit, as well as compare it between partner countries.A5 _VIDEO GUIDE: produce a video guide containing tips and information on how to use the kit.A6_FOLLOW-UP, MULTIPLIER EVENTS (DISSEMINATION STRATEGY), national and transnational evaluation reports of the results with questionnaires for students and teachers who participated in the piloting and evaluation of external students and teachers for greater objectivity.<< Results >>A2_Guide to good practices on methodologies, assessment and learning for the inclusion of migrants and people with fewer opportunities, produced for application in a multicultural context. It also contains 10 good practices applicable to the context of the two NGOs.A3-A4_FranIT tool produced and tested in our respective working contexts. The innovation lies in the faithful reproduction of shops/services in Naples and Brussels, where migrants live. It uses large cards for shops and small cards for products to recreate a concrete experience where migrants can practise and quickly gain confidence and new skills.
