„Go green“ is a multilateral project of strategic partnership between schools. Six secondary schools from the Czech Republic, Portugal, Greece, Bulgaria, Spain and Turkey will cooperate for two years and in their work they will focus on the topics of environmental and climate change, energy and resources and environmental responsibility of educational institutions. The objectives of our project are above all connected with acquiring and developing key competences of the participants which is the main priority of the project. By participation in the project the students and teachers will develop communication and langage competences, social, digital and analytic competences, extend their creative skills and raise their cultural awareness.The following groups will be involved in the project:a) students - will participate both in local activities and learning/teaching/training activities, in eTwinning cooperation, in various activities to promote our project, and in dissemination and evaluation activities. At least 30 students from each partner school will be involved in local activities, and 15 students will participate in mobilities (3 students from each school in each mobility). b) teachers - will participate in local activities, learning/teaching/training activities, dissemination activities, evaluation activities, cooperation with municipalities, environmental organizations etc.c) other school staff - headmasters/headmistresses will be the members of the project teams and will be responsible for organising activities, for running the project together with the coordinator of the project, and for financial issues together with the school accountants. Other members of staff then will participate in local activities and in organising the meeting in their country, helping the coordinator in with organising local activities etc. d) parents - will be involved in organising meetings in their countries together with their youngsters, in hosting foreign students, in promotion of the project on public, cooperation with environmental organizations and other institutions according to their possibilities and in dissemination activities. e) public - will be involved in some project activities. For example mayors, other responsible people from municipality, presidents of some ecological or environmental NGOsThe age group of the participating students in this project is 14-19, they all attend secondary schools in the partner countries. The project includes local activities, 6 learning/teaching/training activities (mobilities) and e-Twinning cooperation.The main topics covered in this project are energy, forest recovery, saving water, water pollution, ecological disasters, effect of climate change on historical heritage etc. Side topics cover the issues such as measures to be taken in combating climate change, green way of life, cycling not driving etc. Each participating school will be responsible for one main topic and one side topic as well as for one communication tool and one dissemination tool.In our project we are going to use various methods and organise a variety of activities which will lead to achievement of the project´s objectives: The activities we plan to do include workshops, research, presentations, discussions, interviews with people working in environmental sector, creative work on leaflets, posters, signs, promotional materials, creating outputs such as newsletters or a brochure, online cooperation with the partners through eTwinning, social network, e-mails etc., intercultural activities and some others.The results of the project will be gained or developed competences of the students and teachers, developed cooperation with partner schools, municipalities, NGOs and other organizations working in the field of ecology and in environmental sector.Concrete results we would like to produce are magazines, posters, leaflets, brochures, promotional materials, presentations, project webpage, facebook page, logo and Twinspace.All participating schools will share and disseminate the results of their work on local, regional, national and international level. Various dissemination tools, both online and offline will be used for dissemination, the most effective will be the project webpage, facebook page, newsletters and various promotional materials.The project will have impact on the participating schools and on other people from public on local, national and international level. The participation in this project will contribute to the development of the participating schools as they will improve the quality of their international cooperation, quality of their work with students, will become more visible on public and more attractive for future students. The participation will also help the schools create tighter contacts between teachers and students, teachers and parents, schools and municipalities, schools and various NGOs etc.
