<< Objectives >>The SCURE project aims to enhance disaster resilience of historical areas by creating a comprehensive risk management model, raising public awareness, and building local capacity. It prioritizes protecting historical places and supporting vulnerable groups through innovative digital tools, inclusive education, and community engagement. By fostering collaboration among stakeholders, the project seeks to establish sustainable, safer, disaster-prepared, and resilient communities across Europe.<< Implementation >>The project will implement activities such as developing a digital archive and designing a disaster risk database, creating a comprehensive disaster management model (especially for earthquakes and floods), conducting public awareness seminars and capacity-building workshops, organizing stakeholder meetings and social media campaigns, producing educational materials and disaster-related games, and establishing a guidance unit for high-risk structures within local municipalities.<< Results >>The SCURE project expects to deliver a GIS based disaster management model, increased public awareness, a multilingual digital platform and mobile app hosting educational content, interactive disaster training materials, and risk maps. It aims to establish sustainable guidance units for high-risk structures, produce educational materials for people, and foster long-term capacity building and collaboration among municipalities, universities, and local communities.
