"<< Background >> The fact that the water footprint is above the world average in Europe and Turkey and the decrease in usable clean water constitutes the main problem of the project and its partners. The survey we conducted in schools also confirms this result. It was applied to a total of 400 people in three countries (122 parents,245 students and 33 teachers).63% of the survey participants stated that they took more than three showers a week, the average shower time was more than 20 minutes, 49% operated the dishwasher more than 5 times a week, It was determined that 60% of them rinsed the dishes before putting them in the washing machine, 61% of them washed clothes more than three times a week and 50% of them washed the items after shopping. The survey results revealed our problem and motivated us to search for a solution. With the project, these detected results were reduced and the target group was made aware. It is estimated that Turkey will be a country suffering from water shortage in 2030.That's why this project is very important for our country. Our most important goal has been to use water economically,to raise awareness in the target groups about the sustainable use of water resources and the importance of reducing the water footprint.<< Objectives >>According to the UN, a person needs 20-50 liters of clean water daily to meet basic cleaning, drinking water and food needs, but 894 million people in the world cannot reach this sufficient amount. Our available water resources are very limited and face many dangers. The main goals of the project are to reduce the water footprint in target groups by 10% and to raise awareness on water footprint, sustainable environment and climate issues.-Our students have knowledge about sustainable nature and environment,-Developing foreign language skills and green skills,-Raising awareness on sustainable environment and climate change issues-Developing teachers' problem solving, innovative and creative thinking and language skills- Families choose to consume less water and save water,-Participants gain awareness to reduce their water footprintTo improve the quality of education by promoting cooperative activities between schools in Europe,-We wanted to achieve teamwork and the use of information and communication technologies to provide students and teachers with the opportunity to work together on a subject of common interest.<< Implementation >>Our activities are as follows.Holding a project introduction meeting,Preparation of the project website, https://waterfp.com/Preparation of the digital dashboard of the project,Organizing a logo and poster competitionPreparation of the video on “How to Reduce Our Water Footprint”Partners present their country's water policiesCelebrating March 22 World Water Day""What's Happening Around Me?"" Institutions have a good reference for eco-school projects."
