"<< Objectives >>ERICA's main objective is to improve citizens’ environmental awareness and civic engagement through the development of a new educational methodology on citizen science for environmental monitoring. Citizens will gain the capacity to initiate and manage citizen science initiatives, collect and assess environmental information, and convert such data into ""actionable knowledge"" that is perceived as useful and immediately applicable by citizens, local authorities, academic institutions, and NGOs.<< Implementation >>The project will be structured into 5 WPs:* WP1 Project management and coordination.* WP2 Best practices collection and exchange on citizen science for environmental monitoring.* WP3 Co-design of ERICA methodology on citizen science for environmental monitoring and actionable knowledge and co-design of the ERICA e-learning platform.* WP4 Training and pilot learning activities on the ERICA methodology and e-learning platform* WP5 Awareness raising and dissemination. << Results >>By utilizing the research findings outlined in the E-booklet of best practices (R1), the project aims to implement the ERICA training methodology (R2) for citizen science in environmental monitoring. Also, the ERICA e-learning platform (R3) will be developed as a tool for creating mutual learning across different countries. As part of the ERICA pilot evaluation (R4), the project will evaluate both the effectiveness of the methodology and its potential to establish a community of practice."
