"<< Background >>The ""Green Jobs Ambassadors"" project responds to the ever-growing challenges related to ecological transformation and the need to adapt vocational education to the changing labor market. With the implementation of the European Green Deal and the pursuit of a more sustainable economy, there is a rising demand for specialists in green professions. Young people entering the workforce thus require appropriate support and education to meet these new challenges. The project aimed not only to prepare young people for careers in green sectors but also to promote the concept of sustainable development and ecological practices across various industries.<< Objectives >>The primary goal of the project was to adapt vocational education and training methods to the labor market demands arising from the European Green Deal. One of the priorities was to develop green job-related skills among young people to better prepare them for the evolving job market. A key aspect was the promotion of sustainable development. One of the aims was to raise awareness of green career paths and their importance for the future of the workforce. We also sought to establish an international network of Green Jobs Ambassadors who, through their efforts, promote green careers in their local communities and schools, thus increasing young people's interest in green professions.<< Implementation >>As part of the project, we implemented a range of activities aimed at supporting young people and promoting green careers. One of the key actions was the ""Green Job My Job"" workshops, conducted for students from technical and vocational schools in the partner countries. During these workshops, young people had the opportunity to learn about green professions, gain environmental skills, and understand how sustainable development impacts the labor market. An essential component was also the creation of educational materials designed to help students make career choices and highlight the benefits of pursuing a green career path. In each partner country, a dissemination conference was held, contributing to the exchange of knowledge and best practices. Each organization also appointed Green Jobs Ambassadors who actively support and promote green careers among young people in their activities.<< Results >>The main outcome of our project was the training of 2,942 students from high schools in Poland, Italy, Spain, and Estonia. Through their participation in workshops, students gained knowledge and practical skills related to sustainable development and green careers. The workshops were conducted using 14 developed ""Green Job My Job"" workshop scenarios, which primarily focus on building practical skills. An operational manual was created to accompany these workshop scenarios, providing guidelines and advice on conducting the workshops and engaging with youth. Each partner also organized a dissemination conference in their respective countries, offering an excellent opportunity to share materials and exchange knowledge and best practices. Additionally, a dedicated project webpage was created, where workshop scenarios and the operational manual are available in all language versions (English, Polish, Italian, Spanish, and Estonian). As part of our dissemination efforts, we developed articles, videos, and posts to promote the initiative."
