Models for entrepreneurship: visiting companies and spreading digital skills

"<< Background >>The partners presented the project with the objective of designing new training initiatives for school vocational education and training (IVET) students aimed at fostering the development of their entrepreneurial skills and attitudes. The project was coherently embedded in the activities of the two partners ISI and ITKAM, who work on a daily basis in the realisation of training initiatives for secondary school students to bring boys and girls closer to the world of business. The skills that underpin entrepreneurial ability, such as creativity, team working, the ability to take the initiative and mobilise resources, are considered fundamental assets for people to be placed in a business context. Therefore, the partners implemented the project to improve their ability to respond to the requests of the main stakeholders, by offering companies and students training initiatives able to meet their mutual expectations concerning the professional competences needed for a proper insertion in the labour market.<< Objectives >>Through the implementation of the Project, the partners identified the following objectives:- to activate a virtuous process of exchange of experiences and good practices between the two partners;- to identify and analyse good examples of training initiatives aimed at promoting the mentality, skills and entrepreneurial attitudes of school IVET students;- to design innovative training initiatives that promote students' entrepreneurship also through the use of new digital technologies like augmented and virtual reality;- to strengthen the quality of their work and its capacity to design initiatives for initial vocational education that meet the needs of enterprises and students;- improve their ability to work transnationally, within a European programme such as Erasmus+. << Implementation >>The following activities were carried out during the project:- peer learning and good practice exchange activities were organised between the two partners;- national and international good practices dedicated to the development of entrepreneurial competence in school IVET were mapped and analysed;- a training initiative model (and its descriptive ""canvas"") was co-designed, i.e. the development of an interactive role-playing game involving students and allowing them to immerse themselves in different professions;- several categories of stakeholders were involved in the co-design and validation activities of the prototype. The main users and stakeholders involved in the initiative were high school pupils, school managers and professors, and companies;- a final document entitled ""Good Practices and Recommendations for Initial Vocational Education and Training"" was drafted, containing the results of the Project.<< Results >>During the co-creation workshops, the partners co-designed an innovative format of a training activity dedicated to the development of entrepreneurial skills of school IVET students. The constituent elements of the initiative were embedded within a simplified model (canvas). Besides outlining the basic elements of the initiative, the partners analysed the feasibility aspects of the initiative. Indeed, depending on the technical possibilities, the game could be implemented digitally or using virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) solutions to offer an even more immersive and realistic experience.The description of the initiative was included in the document ""Good Practices and Recommendations for Initial Vocational Education and Training"", in which the partners condensed the main results of their activities. The document is available in Italian, German and English on the Project Results platform of the Erasmus+ Programme. The document also includes national and international good practices collected by the partners during the Project."
