Building Digital Resilience by Making Digital Wellbeing and Security Accessible to All

<< Background >>We applied for DigiWELL project primarily for two reasons. 1) We wanted to support the digital resilience of adults so that their digital wellbeing could be ensured, they could responsibly and comfortably use digital technologies, and they could be endowed with required competences for digital security. 2) We wanted to empower adults to keep up with the digital transformation and to facilitate this group’s access to the opportunities of the digital world. The needs we have addressed are “the need for digital security”, “the need for digital well-being” and “the need to avoid digital fatigue”. Considering that the use of digital technologies is integral part of our lives as after Covid-19, adults need to use technology mindfully and responsibly. This refers to the fact that they need to have competences to be able to take digital security measures and to protect them from digital risks (digital security); to protect themselves from the negative impacts of technology and to use technology mindfully (digital wellbeing); and to eliminate their digital fatigue and to empower them to deal with the gradually increasing use of technology (digital fatigue). << Objectives >>DigiWELL project aimed to empower adults with the necessary competencies for digital wellbeing and digital security for enabling the establishment of digital resilience for all. At the same time, the project aimed to create learning opportunities for adults so that the competences required for digital resilience could be accessible to all. More specifically, the project consortium wanted to achieve:-Equipping adults with necessary competencies for digital resilience-Facilitating adults' access to the possibilities of digital world-Creating learning opportunities for adults to make required competences for digital resilience could be accessible to all-Developing a methodology, training program and materials, and an OER platform facilitating building digital resilience.The project aimed to achieve those above in three levels:1) At systemic level-increased awareness of digital transformation and digital resilience among adults2) At (participant) organization level-the use of digital resilience building as an innovative approach for addressing adults3) At direct beneficiary level-enhanced understanding and competences for digital resilience. << Implementation >>-Development of the Digital Resilience Building Manual and Methodology-Development of the Digital Resilience Building Training Program and Training Materials-Development of the Digital Resilience Building OER Platform-Transnational Project Workshop 1 in Czechia (Prague)-Transnational Project Workshop 2 in Slovakia (Nitra)-Transnational Project Workshop 3 in Greece (Athens)-Adult Work Sessions 1 in each of 7 countries-Adult Work Sessions 2 in each of 7 countries-Adult Work Sessions 3 in each of 7 countries-Adult Work Sessions 4 in each of 7 countries-Transnational Learning, Teaching and Training Activity (LTT) in Germany-Sharing and Promotion Events in each of 7 participating organizations-Awareness Campaigns (Multiplier Events) in each of 7 participating organizationsBesides the activities described above, the project consortium implemented 5 virtual transnational project management meetings and a series of monthly meetings as part of project management. << Results >>-Digital Resilience Building Manual and Methodology-Digital Resilience Building Training Program-Learning Methodology for Digital Resilience Building Training Program-Training Module (Materials) on Digital Wellbeing-Training Module (Materials) on Digital Security-Training Module (Materials) on Digital Privacy -Training Module (Materials) on Digital Citizenship -OER platform as Learning Ecosystem for Adults (https://platformdigiwell.eu/)-Project Newsletters 1, 2, 3, 4-DigiWELL project website (https://digiwell.sk/)-DigiWELL Social Media Accounts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Youtube) All concrete outputs above are available in English and in seven national languages including Slovak, Czech, German, Spanish, Greek, Turkish and Macedonian. Through these concrete outputs and project activities, at least 333 adult organizations,1109 adults and 302 trainers has been directly empowered. In addition, at least 1000 adults and their organizations / networks via OER platform has directly benefited from the project activities or outputs.
