Innovative and Culturally Sensitive Educational Package for Migrants' Sexual Health Education

<< Objectives >>The aim of the ICEX project is to increase the knowledge of sexual health among adult migrants and professionals working with them by creating open access, comprehensive and easy-to-use online tools for migrants’ sexual health education. ICEX project aims to address the gaps in information and skills, and further, strengthen the professionals’ competencies on sexual health education with the ultimate goal to improve sexual health among migrants.<< Implementation >>Activities are co-created in partner countries (Finland, Estonia, Greece, Portugal) to achieve the results. The main activities are panel discussions for identifying the knowledge and pedagogical skills of sexual health among target groups; adult migrants and professionals working with them, train the trainers to use the created educational materials and piloting and evaluating it with target groups. Also, a theory of sexual health and a manual for the educational materials will be gathered.<< Results >>The project’s concrete results are, ICEX framework, ICEX educational package, ICEX eHandbook. The most important outcome is an online educational tool for migrants’ sexual health education, which contains innovative and culturally sensitive materials to strengthen the migrants’ knowledge and professionals’ competences in sexual health education. The project will lead to a systematic approach on improving the sexual health education among adult migrants across the Europe.
