SusTech. A Community of Practice for Sustainable Technology in Europe

<< Objectives >>The object of the SusTech project to establish a Community of Practice (CoP) among eco-communities, sustainability projects, practitioners and educators in the field of sustainable technology. The project aims to organise educational events to promote knowledge transfer, capacity building, cooperation and innovation in the CoP. It further aims to develop a set of tech case-studies within the partnership, and to draft an online Catalogue of low-tech projects, experts and organisations.<< Implementation >>The project starts with a kick-off meeting to plan the project implementation and present the partners’ case-studies. The CoP will then be developed through a networking and outreach program. The core of the project consists in a series of educational events organised by the partners within the CoP and the creation of a low-tech Catalogue. The SusTech progress, activities and outcomes will be internally reviewed and presented to the public during the final project meeting.<< Results >>The first outcome of the SusTech project is the established CoP network of appropriate technology initiatives and practitioners. The main educational project results consist of: (i) a series of educational Events and Presentations of the project case-studies organised within the CoP; (ii) a set of innovative educational tools and methods in the field of low-tech; and (iii) the online Catalogue of the low-tech organisations, experts, projects and applications within the CoP.
