Exploring the gap between mobility students and the overall HE student population

<< Objectives >>The Erasmus Gap project aims to draw attention to the existing gap among students with realistic opportunities for mobility and those without. The project brings a European perspective to a topic that is mainly handled at national or institutional level. The project activities have been designed to produce a set of policy recommendations describing the changes needed to ensure the gap between the students who undertake an Erasmus mobility and the overall student population decreases.<< Implementation >>The Erasmus Gap project will create tools that support the assessment of the student mobility population composition at institutional level (WP2). It will collect data results that can showcase the actual state of play at a European level (WP4). The peer activities (WP3) and the National Workshops (A5.5) will trigger the sharing of experiences and expertise that are extremely relevant when it comes to the implementation of Erasmus+. The activities will provide the base for the policy recommendat<< Results >>The project will provide large-scale data sets from several European countries to document the existing gap among students with realistic opportunities for mobility and those without. The visualisation of the data and related trainings will provide both a method for HEIs to document the gap and to develop strategies for reducing it. The policy recommendations based on robust data are aimed at decision-makers to help them implement a significantly more inclusive mobility programme.
