<< Background >>The project was initiated to address specific challenges observed during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly the limited effectiveness of traditional face-to-face teaching methods when transferred to remote learning environments. Teachers and students encountered difficulties in using digital tools, resulting in reduced learning outcomes and limited engagement. A needs analysis involving 67 school staff confirmed the requirement for a structured blended learning approach. The project addressed this by developing a competence model, methodologies, and digital tools to support the integration of face-to-face and remote learning. It aimed to enhance digital readiness, promote key competences, and support teachers in adapting to new teaching contexts. The initiative also focused on establishing a learning community composed of teachers, students, and families, supported by an online platform and targeted toolkits. These actions aligned with the horizontal and sector-specific priorities identified in the Erasmus+ framework.<< Objectives >>The project aimed to develop and implement a structured blended learning approach tailored for primary and secondary schools in Europe. Its main objectives were to create a competence model for teachers and students (of age 11-16) supporting digital readiness and blended learning skills, to establish a learning community connecting teachers, students, and families, and to provide concrete tools such as training modules, hands-on approach scenarios, an online community platform, and toolkits. The competence model was designed through a co-design process with teachers as the primary target group, based on results from an analysis survey conducted at the start of the project. The learning community promoted communication and collaboration among stakeholders. The project also aimed to equip teachers with methodologies for blended learning, encourage students’ self-directed learning and soft skills development, and engage families through dedicated resources. All outcomes contributed to aligning national school practices with European-level digital transformation objectives in education.<< Implementation >>The project was implemented through following main activities:1. Creation of the A3Learning competence model starting from the requirements based on the survey analysis and co-design sessions feedbacks2. Formation of learning community, creation of training content for teachers, students and parents toolkits and f2f training activities for the primary target groups (teachers and students)3. Creation of on-line A3Learning platform with community space for the A3Learning community4. Pilot phase implementation in primary and secondary schools with students of the age 11-16 (according to the implementation subject-based scenarios) and students competition based on the students outcomes from pilot activities5. Creation of A3Learning Handbook6. Creation of Competence model v. 2 (after project implementation)7. Project management (incl. transnational project meetings)8. Quality assurance, and monitoring9. Dissemination and presentation of the project within local, national and international events10. Creation of the Exploitation guide, organisation of national and international multiplier events and sustainability measures<< Results >>The main outcome is the implementation of a blended process (combination of remote learning and F2F activities). The concrete results of the project are following:Competence Model with the definition of competencies necessary to implement the A3Learning method, updated after the training and pilot implementation;Training materials for teachers - 5 training modules of 5-6 hours each to acquire necessary competencies crucial for implementation of A3Learning approach;Learning scenarios for teachers to implement the approach within their classes (from the preparation step till evaluation of the work done in the class);Students´ Toolkit - a set of practical guidance on working with necessary digital tools also used for better learning;Parents´ toolkit - a basic practical advice on ensuring online safety, fostering responsible behavior, and protecting digital well-being of students by parents;Handbook used as a repository of the process, approaches, tools and milestones of the whole project;Exploitation guide;On-line platform serving as the repository of training materials, learning scenarios, toolkits for students and parents and with community (incl. shared experience and outcomes of A3L application).
