"<< Background >>The project ""e-VET4AI"" was born as a response to the European Commission's call to enhance digital education and training in the post-Covid era. Recognizing the need for improved digital teaching methods and skills development, the project aims to promte the use and knowledge of new digital technologies in the VET systems across partner countries and aims to create a hybrid learning model supported by digital tools, particularly AI, to cater to the evolving needs of various stakeholders in the education and industry sectors, addressing various stakeholders:Trainers: The project aimed to upskill trainers to adapt to digital teaching and learning practices and to meet the demands of the digital economy, especially in industries like Industry 4.0.- VET Institutions: The project intended to help educational institutions by integrating digital learning into their curricula, upskilling trainers, offering ready-to-use digital tools, and modernizing training to align with the digital economy's demands.- Students and Workers: The project sought to provide flexible and personalized learning experiences beyond traditional classrooms, focusing on skills required by the digital job market.- Metal-Mechanical Companies.<< Objectives >>The project's primary goal was to empower VET teachers and trainers by enhancing their proficiency and confidence in adopting new teaching methods alongside traditional ones. To do so, the project developped 3 tools that are aimed to complement traditional teaching instruments:1.A SELF-ASSESSMENT TOOL (SAT) to evaluate trainers' digital competence using a;2.An e-VETrainers PLATFORM and APP on the current technologies of the industry 4.03.A training toolkit with challenges on those technologiesThe project also had further objectives such as:-Enhancing trainers' digital skills, referencing the DigCompEdu framework.-Implementing blended and distance training methods, including international collaboration.-Exploring and testing digital tools to aid VET, particularly in relation to Industry 4.0.<< Implementation >>In the course of the project, following activities have been implemented:Project results: -PR1: SELF ASSESSMENT TOOL (SAT), a digital instrument for testing and monitoring teacher’s digital proficiency.-PR2: e-VETrainers Platform and App, a digital training platform for teachers with courses on the technologies of teh industry 4.0-PR3: e-VET4Ai training model (e-VET4AI TM), with challenges toi be implemented in classEach of the PR included a series of sub-activities for their development and implementation. The process followed a series of phases:-Analysis, benchmarking and validation phase (PR1, PR2)-Co-design phase (R1, R2, R3, LTTA C1) -Testing and piloting phase (R1, R2)-Phase of dissemination and exploitation of results LTTA:A three-day training event for trainers from partner training institutions, organized by ITKAM in Germany.DISSEMINATIONA dissemination strategy was dveloped by CBE with the support of ECOLE and P-CONSULTING. The strategy was put in place and implemented to spread the project results and outcomes. The strategy was based on: communication via the project website, social media channels, newsletter and multipliers4 Local MULTIPLIER EVENTS+ 1 FINAL CONFERENCE to promote the adoption were organised, involving 229 participants.PROJECT MANAGEMENT, GENERAL ORGANIZATION AND COORDINATION OF THE PROJECT:ITKAM developped a project management plan. A smooth project management was ensured by the coordinator, with the support of all partners. The project coordinator ensured a clear division of tasks and responsibilities; production and collection of administrative/accounting data; development of monitoring and evaluation activities of the project and its Results, implementing the activities related to the collection and processing of the necessary data; communication and updating between the partners QUALITY MANAGEMENTA quality management plan was developed and implement by ITKAM and ECOLE, to ensure the high quality of all project outcomes. The quality was monitored through regular surveys (every 6 months) for partners to evaluate the project objectives and their progress and pursue them efficiently EXPLOITATION AND FOLLOW-UPCBE developped an exploitation and sustainability plan to ensure the sustainability of the project and the exploitation of the results.<< Results >>In the course of the project, following ouputs and results have been produced: 1)Realization of a focus group with teachers and experts from the partner countries 2)Development and launch of a “SELF ASSESSMENT TOOL (SAT)” also named “self-awareness tool”, a digital instrument for testing and monitoring teacher’s digital proficiency: 40 case studies were selected to be included in the SAT and two forms of Self-assesment, before and after the training, were developped. 294 people registered for the course overall.3)Development and delivery of the e-VETrainers Platform and of the App. 5 courses were developped on the topics of Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Digital Twin, Augmented Reality. Each course contains a series of sub-modules and a final test, on the completition of which, a certificate of attendance can be obtained.4)Development and delivery of the e-VET4Ai training model (e-VET4AI TM), with challenges to be implemented in class5)Design of an OPEN EDUCATION RESOURCE (website) to embed all poducts developed within the project6)Launch and animation of project social media channels (+400 people reached on facebook and +500 people reached on LinkedIn)7)Organisation of 4 transnational project meetings ( 1 online and 3 in person)8)Organisation of 5 multiplier events, with 229 participants on-site in total9)Organizatio of a 3-day LTTA in Frankfurt and Darmstadt with workshops and company visits on the theme of the Industry 4.010)Organizattuion of 4 workshops to promote the use of the PR 1 and PR211)Final project video on project website.12)ECOLE held together with HETEL an extra webinar on the Challenge-based methodology to Italian trainers from 7 different VET schools already involved in the previous stages of EVET4AI project. The webinar represented an important occasion in order to increase their knowledge by showing them the potential inclusion of this training method in their curricula.13) Final conference in Milano, link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yWppLC7Dak"
