"<< Background >>The implementation of this program contained a social and educational vision. The beginning was made by the will of the Municipality of Pyli and its staff to work on issues of training and inclusion of young people in the area, where is a lack of opportunities. Thus, we chose to work in the field of folklore and the digital world, with the aim of giving an opportunity to young people from all over the Municipality (especially young people in remote areas) to enrich their knowledge and give value to the cultural heritage of the place. The final target group we chose were the young NEETs, a category of people who are considered marginalized or excluded as they do not have sufficient opportunities to move into the fields of work, learning or training. Thus, the Municipality of Pyli, as coordinator, set out to select a group of partners from all over Europe (mainly museums and educational spaces), a group that would allow it to enrich its vision and give value to the fields of culture and education in a European now level.<< Objectives >>Objectives of the program:- Shaping the perception of museums as open space of learning and experiences for every member and group of society. Museums in today's era are not mausoleums that keep and exhibit ""strange"" objects, but are places that serve the needs of each society, as the definition of museums of the international organization ICOM has put it.- Use of technology as a means of promoting and highlighting Europe's cultural wealth. New technology (such as VR, AR applications, platforms, etc.) has been used for years in the promotion of cultural heritage with many examples and good practices. Thus, our own partnership contributed to the creation of corresponding practices in the Greek area.- Creation of an innovative museum educational program for young adults belonging to the group of NEETs. An integrated educational program was from the beginning one of our basic needs, with the aim of enriching the knowledge and skills of the young people being trained.- Modernization and transition to the digital age. Both key deliverables of this program are in the digital space.<< Implementation >>- Management activities- Activities for creating the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC): research and writing of the educational material, development of the platform, etc.- Activities to create an Educational Virtual Tours Platform: downloading the 360' photos, selecting the exhibits and informational material, developing the platform and the tours through 3D Vista VR Tour Pro, etc.- Three Face-to-face Transnational meetings.- Evaluation and monitoring activities. Internal evaluation of cooperation and communication, evaluation of the deliverables by the target audience, evaluation of the deliverables by the users, etc.- Activities for disseminating the results: creation of the program brochure, instruction booklet for the virtual tour, newsletters, program banner, sending emails, announcements on the website, creation of the program website, etc.- Four Multiplier Events. Each museum of the collaboration implemented one in its own space.<< Results >>1. Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), which includes 6 main modules and a 7th which is about exploring virtual tours as ""case studies"" and answering quizzes that we have developed. The MOOC is hosted on a platform we developed as part of the program (https://mooc.folkart-culture.eu/)2. Virtual Tour Platform that includes a tour for each partner museum. This platform includes the digitizations of the exhibitions of the selected museums, while they have available texts, videos, audio messages, etc. interpretative means. The virtual tours are on a platform we created (https://www.folkart-culture.eu/index.php/en/vr-tour)3. Virtual reality headset experience. We have also created a tour which also supports the use of the VR (virtual reality headset). This equipment is worn by someone remotely and he/ she digitally transported to the area of the Pialia Museum, having the ability to move around the area as if it were a physical presence.4. Various dissemination actions that either have a physical or digital form, such as the publication of a newsletter, the printing of brochures, the creation of the program's website (https://www.folkart-culture.eu/index.php/en/)"
