MOMentum. Helping mothers gain MOMentum in entrepreneurship

"<< Background >>The partner organisations applied for this project motivated by the imperative to address pressing issues surrounding women's economic empowerment and entrepreneurship. Recognizing the stark gender disparities revealed by Eurostat and the ""Women’s Economic Empowerment"" report, the partners aimed to contribute to the fulfillment of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Entrepreneurship 2020 plan. The project outputs were driven by the desire to alleviate the persistent challenges faced by women, particularly mothers, in accessing economic resources and establishing businesses. The partners sought to tackle misconceptions about mothers in the workplace, especially those facing additional disadvantages such as single mothers, migrants, and those with social needs. Furthermore, their interest extended to exploring the emerging ""mompreneurship"" movement. Ultimately, the project partners collectively applied for this project with the aspiration to contribute substantively to addressing the gender disparities and challenges faced by women, particularly mothers, in their pursuit of economic empowerment and entrepreneurship.<< Objectives >>The partner organisations aimed to achieve comprehensive empowerment for mothers, particularly those facing disadvantages. They sought to promote entrepreneurship education, providing valuable insights and skills. Through role-model education, the organization inspired mothers to overcome fears and venture into entrepreneurship. A key objective was dismantling stereotypes about motherhood mixed with business and entrepreneurship, especially for migrants, single mothers, and those with social needs. The project efforts were directed at enhancing key skills and competences among mothers, equipping them for successful entrepreneurial pursuits. The overarching goal was to promote economic, social, and gender equality. The partners aspired to create an inclusive environment where mothers, irrespective of their background, could thrive in entrepreneurship, contributing to a more equitable and empowered society.<< Implementation >>The following activities were carried out in the project in relation to the Project Results PR and the horizonal activities of Project Management, Quality Assurance and Dissemination:-PR1: methodology creation, conducting desk research and interviews, combining findings, conducting peer review, aggregation of final document, translations, publication on website, general dissemination -PR2: methodology creation, conducting desk research, interviewing mothers, editing content, creating collection of useful resources, aggregation of final document, translations, publication on website, general dissemination-PR3: methodology creation, desk research, creation of activities, feedback, aggregation of final document, translations, publication on website, general dissemination-PR4: app demo and script creation, feedback giving, app improvement, app testing by partners and mothers, app finalization, translations, publication on website and Google Play Store, general dissemination-PMI: general administration, timesheets keeping, interim and final report writing, risk management, support to partners, communication with NA-Quality Assurance: plan creation, assessment questionnaires creation and regular distribution, reports creation-Dissemination: plan creation, dissemination materials creation and publication, tracking, reporting. << Results >>The following concrete outputs resulted from the project:- Organisation of 3 partners’ meetings, complemented by 10+ regular online calls - Organisation of 1 LTTA Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity in hybrid format- Creation and distribution of 1 Gamified Role-model education methodology informing the development of the remaining outputs based on discovered real needs - Creation, improvement and distribution of 1 Role model education toolkit including 10 role model stories and useful resources like books, videos, podcasts, local initiatives, funding opportunities- Creation and distribution of 1 Entrepreneurship education toolkit including practical activities and assessment tools- Creation, testing, improvement, and distribution of 1 mobile and pc app including role models stories presented as interactive interviews, educational resources, activities, and assessment tools, main gamified output of project - 5 local multiplier events with the attendance of relevant end users and other stakeholders."
