Training, Entrepreneurship, Employment and Social Inclusion for Ex-Prisoners

<< Background >>We applied for this project -To provide up-to-date and focused training to ex-prisoners in order to give those certified skills to increase their chances as jobseekers after their release.• To cover an urgent and growing market need for certified and properly qualified operators for digitizing archives.• To produce innovative vocational training material, exclusively designed for ex-prisoners, on certified ICT training, in order to function as a pilot-guide additional to the existing training programs throughout Europe.• To encourage cooperation between the ex-prisoners, communities throughout Europe with the vocational training institutions as well as employment opportunity institutions.To organize info-days among partners in order to formulate the training material in accordance to the ex-prisoners’ needs, and to organize at least one international conference among project partners, involving institutions that are providers of training, institutions that are receivers of training, and selective labour market institutions in order to publicize the whole effort which we believe it is a turning point in prisoners training and gives chances to their employability increase.<< Objectives >>We wanted to achieve:-Increasing digital skills of Ex-prisoners-Improving entrepreneurship skills of them and increase their potential for self-employment- Formulating the training material in accordance to the ex-prisoners’ needs, and to organize a conference among project partners, involving institutions that are providers of training, institutions that are receivers of training, and selective labour market institutions in order to publicize the whole effort which we believe it is a turning point in prisoners training and gives chances to their employability increase.<< Implementation >>- Project Management and Implementation plan has been prepared and the Project has implemented accordingly. - The project Website has been created and updated to provide visibility.Info -days have been organized by project applicant and partners to inform more people and support ex-prisoners.Two Transnational Meetings have been organized, one in Türkiye, one ,in Greece-Ex-prisoners have been trained in digital skills both in Türkiye and Greece.- Ex-prisoners have been trained in Entrepreneurship and certificates have been provided.-Staff of the Project applicant and partners have been trained to be Mentors and provide Consultancy.- Career guidance, counselling for realistic plans and returning to society has been provided for ex-prisoners.-Leaflet has been prepared and delivered to people.- Success stories in Türkiye and Greece have been compiled and shared with each other as well as Ex-prisoners to increase motivation of Ex-prisoners._Resources available to ex-prisoners have been identified and shared with Ex-prisoners and support them.<< Results >>- The project Website has been created and updated to provide visibility, - Newsletters have been prepared and published on some newspapers to provide dissemination-Info -days have been organized in Türkiye and Greece-Ex-prisoners have been trained in digital skills both in Türkiye and Greece- Ex-prisoners have been trained in Entrepreneurship and certificates have been provided.-Staff of the Project applicant and partners have been trained, Consultancy and Career guidance have been provided for ex-prisoners.Researches about success stories of ex-prisoners have been compiled to serve as examples for the ex-prisoners to get hope.-Resources have been compiled and shared with the target group to benefit from.-Training materials have been developed. The training material includes i) an Entrepreneurship Guide, ii) a Computer and Digitalisation Introduction Manual, iii) a Manual on Digitalisation of Archives and iv) a Scanner User Manual.The project had a great impact both on our organizations, as well as on the local societies where the project has been implemented. The applicant and partners had the chance to broaden the fields of interest and the spectrum of activities focused on socially marginalized groups.
