<< Background >>Four associations from four different European countries involved in youth work in their respective regions have designed and implemented a training program for their youth workers, as well as for anyone new to youth work.The project's primary target is young youth workers who wish to strengthen and expand their skills to promote new forms of youth aggregation. The goal is to encourage the creation and development of groups, networks, and initiatives, both structured and loose, capable of generating opportunities for active participation, personal growth, and informed citizenship.The four project partner organizations have designed and implemented training programs and transnational events for youth workers seeking to acquire the methodological, organizational, and interpersonal tools needed to plan and implement socio-educational work, both locally—enhancing the region and its resources—and at a European level, promoting intercultural exchanges and transnational collaborations.<< Objectives >>The project aimed to achieve a series of objectives aimed at strengthening the educational and social ecosystem for young people in the partner organizations' territories, encouraging their active participation and developing the skills of youth workers.Specifically, the main objectives were:1. Improve training and socio-educational activities in the youth sector by promoting innovative, high-quality programs that meet the real needs of young people in the area.2. Support educators and youth workers in launching and managing new forms of youth aggregation or associations in their territories: this has fostered the emergence of spaces for active, collaborative, and inclusive participation among young youth workers.3. Develop the organizations' capacity to work transnationally and cross-sectorally to foster the exchange of best practices, innovation in educational methods, and the construction of European or international networks, and to help strengthen the European dimension of non-formal education.4. Launch a process of formal recognition of the role of Youth Worker, valorizing the skills and experiences acquired.<< Implementation >>The project's main activities were:• Design and development of an eBook, a practical and detailed guide for starting and managing a youth association, with operational tools, innovative methodologies, and practical suggestions to support young people in developing association initiatives and managing educational projects.• Delivery of a pilot training course for 24 young youth workers to test the eBook's effectiveness and usefulness, enabling participants to concretely apply the guidance provided and provide useful feedback for any revisions and improvements to the material.• Organization of four transnational meetings and training events between youth workers and staff, promoting collaboration and networking between organizations from different countries; these meetings provided opportunities for discussion, learning, and the development of shared skills.• Development of a system for assessing the skills of youth workers upon graduation, thanks to the pilot course and training events abroad: the system provided a clear framework for certifying the professional skills developed.<< Results >>The project's results were as follows:• Detailed work plan with planned activities, deadlines, and tasks assigned to each partner: the plan allowed for effective coordination of the various phases of the project and monitoring of progress against the established objectives.• eBook for youth workers containing guidelines, practical tools, and innovative methodologies to facilitate youth worker training.• Ready-to-use training materials for the pilot course, including exercises, worksheets, and educational resources, to support the practical testing of the training activities.• Skills assessment grids to evaluate the learning outcomes acquired by the 24 participating youth workers, allowing for a structured and transparent measurement of the skills and knowledge acquired during the training program.• Guide for the assessment and formal recognition of youth worker skills.• Project branding and communication: an identifying logo for the project was created, along with dedicated web pages and social media profiles, with the aim of promoting activities, sharing results and facilitating communication between partners and participants.
