SeaAhead - Sailing Acceleration through Vocational Excellence and Innovation

SeaAhead project will enhance the maritime sector by proactively addressing both current and future challenges, with a commitment to high quality standards, excellence, and inclusiveness (General objective). The project will achieve sustainable growth and enhance the competitiveness of the maritime industry on a global scale. In particular, SeaAhead project will create Centers of Vocational Excellence that bring together Knowledge Triangle experts to develop an ecosystem that enhances the skills, efficiency and innovative capacity of maritime professionals and organizations, ensuring the industry’s future-proof growth, sustainability and competitiveness in the global arena. SeaAhead project is designed to address the challenges and opportunities within the maritime sector through 4 strategic pillars: 1. Advancement of Maritime Vocational Education and Training and Adoption of XR and Simulation Technologies 2. Empowerment of Maritime Employers with Advanced Remote Training Solutions 3. Fostering Maritime Entrepreneurship and Innovation 4. Creation of Joint Educational Framework Among Maritime Academies Thus, SeaAhead consortium has carefully designed the following Work Packages, with tasks and actions that are fully in line with the objectives and needs that have been identified during the proposal drafting as well as the call's goals, aims, and scope: WP2: Enhancing Collaboration: Transforming MET-NET and creation of Skills Partnerships at a Regional and EU level WP3: Design of a Role Model of a Maritime CoVE WP4: Deploying maritime CoVEs To ensure the successful implementation of the outlined activities and to achieve the objectives of the project, the SeaAhead consortium comprises 24 full partners from: Greece, Netherlands, Italy, Lithuania, Germany, France, and Ukraine. The consortium includes 12 educational providers, seven market representatives, three expert partners, one umbrella organization and one quality assurance partner.
