"<< Background >>Europe is facing a harsh reality: it is ageing. According to the 2018 Ageing Report (published in May 2018), in 1950 only 12% of the European population was over 65 years old. In 2050, this figure will be more than 36%. In the 56-70 age group, internet access levels drop to 29%, and in the 71-80 age group, to 5%.The project consisted of the elderly in our towns, located in depopulated areas and who have become part of what we all know as empty Europe (another great challenge facing us) creating videos in which they explained the heritage of the place. These videos are on a common open-access platform. A QR code was placed in the places described in the videos so that both visitors and residents of these municipalities can see and enjoy them. It has been an excellent way to involve all citizens in the project and the environment of the ""protagonists"" have wanted to be part of it, creating an enormous inner wealth, which has an incalculable value. The degree of satisfaction of all the people who participated in the project has greatly compensated for all the work carried out.<< Objectives >>- Increase the digital skills of senior citizens through the creation of digital content that they themselves designed and created/- Promote the heritage, culture and history of areas at risk of depopulation by designing accessible digital resources and/- Participate in the digital transformation of the tourism sector with the creation of a guide. Senior citizens improved their level of knowledge of new technologies, which made them citizens with greater autonomy in 21st century Europe. The production of videos that can be accessed through a QR code contributes to placing Rural Europe on the map, achieving a call effect on tourists, which is what this novel initiative achieved, while also attracting the inhabitants of these areas, attracted by the curiosity of seeing how their neighbours explain their own tourist resources. The heritage, culture and history of places at risk of depopulation have been promoted. Our rich and unknown heritage is valued by EU citizens. This allowed us to participate in the digital transformation of the tourism sector with the creation of a methodological guide, which is vital for the revitalization of these areas.<< Implementation >>WP nº1 includes, as a relevant activity, the evaluation of the quality and impact of the project's achievements. Quality surveys have been carried out every 6 months.WP nº2 includes the creation of a project website and the “another digital tourism is possible” platform, as well as the integration of tourism promotion material (videos).1.- Creation of a training course on digital skills for older people. Information meetings have been held to find educators to participate in a discussion group. The training has been translated into all the languages of the consortium.2.- Training and creation of videos. The partners have selected participants and tourist areas according to the criteria of inclusiveness and equity.3.- Creation of technological support. This consists of creating a support to host the videos made by the partners.WP No. 3, 1.- Preparation of a methodological guide so that other entities can use it as a basis for making videos to promote tourism in small towns, working with people over 55 years of age on digital skills and participating in the promotion of their towns and the cultural heritage of their region.2.- ME that promoted the project and its results.<< Results >>Tangible Result:- The design and preparation of the training: a single content written in English and translated into the languages of each of the partners (5 languages in total) to facilitate the work of the trainers, which consisted of an index and a series of modules that were determined after the focus group and the Consortium meetings/Videos prepared by the participants up to a total of 20 videos (5 per country) and as many QR codes located in the places subject to the videos/Access web platform open where the videos and the Methodological Guide of the training carried out were hosted- Methodological Guide that has served as a model for educators specialized in adult education so that they can put the project into practice, available both on the website and on the results platform. The entire process was systematized in a single document, which allowed it to be used as training material to train adult educators.Additionally, it was achieved:- Increased senior's digital skills- Promotion of heritage, culture and history of areas at risk of depopulation and- Participation in the digital transformation of the tourism sector with the creation of an explanatory methodological guide."
