<< Background >>The CINAMON project successfully addressed the urgent need for skilled climate managers across Europe by developing a tailored VET training program. Focused on equipping climate managers with essential digital tools and climate data literacy, it has empowered professionals to drive purposeful, fact-based climate action at municipal and corporate levels. By integrating climate action with digital transformation, participants gained expertise in mitigation, adaptation, and resilience strategies, while mastering climate data collection, analysis, and monitoring to effectively plan, track, and report. The project also created the comprehensive repository CAT -climate action tools, ensuring climate managers can exploit existing resources to make informed, greener decisions. A partnership of four NGOs and a research SME, CINAMON drew on extensive international experience to deliver this training, meeting the increasing demand for climate reporting across sectors. With the EU Green Deal's ambitious targets, CINAMON contributed significantly to building the workforce needed for a climate-neutral future.<< Objectives >>Climate managers across Europe were targeted to be empowered by providing essential digital competencies for climate action and communication in the areas of mitigation and adaptation. Two e-learning courses were developed and tested: one focused on digital climate action and campaigning, and the other on climate impact measurement, equipping participants with digital, mathematical, and statistical skills to interpret data and plan effective climate strategies. Additionally, the project launched „CAT -climate action tools“ an interactive platform offering structured access to climate services and tools. Digital climate summits were introduced for learning, networking, and knowledge exchange, ensuring more impact of project outcomes. CINAMON attracted some attention, securing continued interest in the two self-paced e-learning courses beyond their initial phase, making a contribution to the EU’s climate goals. The project provided critical skills to climate managers, enabling them to take effective climate action and drive the transition to a decarbonized economy.<< Implementation >>The partners implemented all planned activities through regular virtual and transnational meetings and continuous work in between, ensuring the achievement of all objectives. Intensive knowledge sharing, co-creation processes, and feedback loops within the consortium and beyond with climate managers were key to developing and delivering the project’s core results: R1 - Curriculum for digital climate-action training, R2 - E-learning course on digital climate action and campaigning, R3 - E-learning course on climate impact measurement, and R4 - The Digital Climate Action Toolbox. The project also organized four successful four “digital climate summits” for networking and ongoing learning, contributing to the long-term sustainability of its outcomes and four in-person events. These events connected climate managers, future learners, and alumni, creating a lasting impact. Additional funding sources were secured for continued course runs, ensuring sustainability beyond the project’s lifetime. Dissemination activities online and offline further attracted interest. External evaluations contributed with valuable feedback to the high quality of results, positioning CINAMON as good practice for digital climate education initiatives.<< Results >>The educational package delivered enhances the digital and analytical skills of climate managers, empowering them to take bold, fact-based climate action across Europe’s public and private sectors. The project produced key outputs: R1 - A comprehensive curriculum detailing learning objectives, didactical approaches, and recommendations for VET providers; R2 - An open-source e-learning course on digital climate action and campaigning, focusing on digital PR and climate communication; R3 - A second e-learning course on climate impact measurement, equipping learners with data analysis skills essential for planning and reporting under EU legislation. Both courses were tested across partner countries and can be taken independently or sequentially. R4 - The Digital Climate Action Repository CAT, an interactive platform offering structured information on climate tools, with intelligent search features and user assessment. The project also hosted altogether eight successful in-person multiplier events and online climate summits, attracting over 1200 stakeholders, fostering peer learning, and boosting digital skills. Gender equality was ensured throughout, and the project has effectively trained climate managers, better prepared to address the climate crisis.
