GreenVET Pathway – Engaging VET in a Whole Institution Approach towards Sustainability

<< Objectives >>GreenVET pathway aims to make VET-institutions active drivers of the Green Transition. Through a Whole Institution Approach VET-staff is encouraged to assess and transform their institution’s values, operations and teaching towards environmental sustainability. This institutional re-orientation will provide VET-teachers with knowledge, skills and attitude to prepare their students for the current and future labour market needs that the European Green Deal will demand.<< Implementation >>All project partners will engage staff teams of 2 VET-institutions into a Community of Practise. The partner organisations’ activities will include conceptualisation, development, evaluation and promotion of tools that will enable the CoP, but also any other VET-institution to engage in a Whole Institution Approach and to form alliances within their local and the European community. Partners will also support the CoP tightly in implementing the transformative process towards sustainability.<< Results >>The project results will provide relevant information on the intersection of VET and the Green Transition, including educational implications and a database to share valuable resources. For 2 VET-institutions from each partner network the project will result in a concrete action plan of how to implement transformative change within their institution. Furthermore, the project will enable any other VET-institution to join in a Whole Institution Approach by engaging in the online GreenVET path.
