<< Background >>The application was raised to continue to build on the success of the 2022 application which in turn was based on the accreditation of a previously unaccredited programme and the implementation of a pilot programme comprising two intakes. The support received from established NGOs in collaboration for the development of best practice case studies during the programme was very motivational. Once accredited by the national regulator the programme was promoted in Malta and Cyprus and received positive feedback from the NGO sector in both countries. The project was implemented smoothly reflecting the excellent collaboration between the consortium partners, Advenio eAcademy, SoS Malta and CARDET Cyprus. This successful collaboration in 2022 thus served as the basis for requesting the 2023 project to continue to build on what had already been achieved. << Objectives >>Revise the current non-accredited programme to determine which modules need to be updated and develop new content material for the EQF 10 ECTS Level 5 accredited programme – Award in NGO Management.3.Marketing of the updated accredited Award in NGO Management programme to recruit candidates for both intakes in the partner countries 4.Implementation of the two 14-week pilot intakes 5.Publish and disseminate the students’ feedback<< Implementation >>Follow-up on case studies developed in 2022 programme and development of updates along with new material to provide for Albanian localisation of content by the Albanian associated partner organisation. Implementation of two 14-week online programme intakes as a pilot. On the basis of the Erasmus+ funding, circa 60 students were to be offered a full scholarship in the programme. The online programme provided a considerable amount of interaction to facilitate and assist participants in making the transition of hands-on to a more academic but real-world approach to social entrepreneurial activity. This pilot programme of the 2023 version confirmed its effectiveness in meeting with the different national and regional challenges and issues. The Advenio eAcademy eLearning platform was made available to students throughout the programme and all content material including student communications and assignment submission and monitoring was carried out through the eLearning platform. Each intake was implemented over a 14 week period with study breaks included.<< Results >>The following are the results:1)35 students registered for Intake 1,a.4 dropped out before programme commencementb.Intake 1 commenced with 31 studentsc.1 withdrew from the programme after commencementd.17 students passed one or more modules2)37 students registered for Intake 2a.3 dropped out before programme commencement b. Intake 2 Commenced with 34 studentsb.2 withdrew from the programme after commencementc.18 students passed one or more modules3)Successful implementation and completion of the two pilot intakes a.17 students obtained full or partial certification for Intake 1.b. 18 students obtained full or partial certification for Intake 2.A request by students that did not complete the programme was to have the module sessions delivered over a longer period of time as they struggled to dedicate the time for study required by the programme with their heavy work-load. Further studies and analysis on timing of the programme is recommended for any future intakes.
