<< Background >>We applied for the LISTEN Project to address the urgent needs related to climate change education, environmental protection, and digital skills for Generation Z. Our aim was to inspire educational environments to adapt innovative teaching methods, assess pedagogical effectiveness, and enhance digital competences. By incorporating bibliotherapy workshops and leveraging the Developmental Bibliotherapy (DBT) method, we intended to enrich learning experiences. Our participation also aimed to raise awareness, foster responsibility, and empower individuals to contribute to environmental protection. Each institution in the project had unique motivations, such as gaining new experiences, enhancing management skills, and sharing past experiences. Given the challenges posed by COVID-19, effective international digital cooperation is paramount.Through the LISTEN Project, we seeked to emphasize the importance of individual and collective actions in addressing environmental challenges and mitigating climate change by developing digital and interactive tools.<< Objectives >>Our objectives in implementing the project were multifaceted. Firstly, we aimed to foster a sense of belonging to the European family among our institutions and promote common values. Through collaboration, we seeked to popularize positive attitudes, innovative methods, and demonstrate the mutual benefits of cooperation between different institutions. The project created new resources and methodologies, focusing on developmental bibliotherapy techniques, emphasizing collaborative efforts among students, teachers, parents, and stakeholders. We aimed to develop soft skills such as teamwork, responsibility sharing, respect, voluntarism, sensitivity, and empathy. Interactive educational contents were developed, integrating outdoor elements to facilitate understanding, especially for primary school children.Through our transnational partnership spanning Poland, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Spain, and Turkey, we aimed to address problems from diverse perspectives and develop multi-layered solutions. With three main intellectual outputs focused on climate and digitalization, we hope to contribute step by step to global environmental protection.<< Implementation >>The origin of the project comes from the eTwinning project. The project was implemented in 3 main phases:1.PreparationAn international coordinators’ team was established. The team made necessary preparations to implement project activities and organized meetings with local government and authorities to inform them about the main objectives of the project and planned activities. The school curriculums/programs were examined and research tasks were conducted to design materials for teachers’ training. In the next phase, introduction seminars were conducted for teachers working in the partner schools about how to implement the project activities successfully. Parents and relevant stakeholders were informed. The applications for the participation of students were collected and local school activities were planned.2.The implementation:The students and teachers worked during the whole year and conducted local school activities. 2 LTTs were organized and each partner participated with 4 students and 2 teachers. In the countries the modules were discussed in the lessons with 9-12 years old students. During the realization of the project the training sessions for teachers were regularly held. Wel cooperated with pro-ecological NGOs locally.3 project results were developed:PR1- Developmental Bibliotherapy Based E-BooksPR2- Gamification and Interactive Based E-Learning PlatformPR3- Interactive Educational Content on Climate Change and Natural EnvironmentThemes:- Listen to the voice of Soil-we planned to raise the level of participants' knowledge about environmental and climate changes, such as: carbon footprints, changes in soil. The participants learned to use a digital app to enable behavioral changes.- Listen to the voice of Air and Water-the participants investigated air and water pollution.- Creative recycling studies-together we tried to determine how we could improve the situation. The participants created proegological inventions.- Clean energy-partners increased the knowledge about renewable sources of energy.- Future professions, volunteer work-the members of the project thought about the changes in the job market caused by environment and climate changes in the context of their future choices. In all modules we determined the situation in partners’ countries. The activities in the implementation phase were desired to develop teachers’ and students’ digital skills.Apart from working in the countries we met during:TPM meetings- 2 representatives from each institutionMultiplier events - 2 ME and 287 participants (unofficially total 345 participants)LTT meetings - 2 meetings were organised (Total 131 teachers and students). 3.The dissemination of the results were done in various ways. We presented the results during the dissemination materials, parent meetings, social accounts and parents-school organizations. The impact of the project was evaluated among the measurement and evaluation tools.<< Results >>LISTEN produced 3 main results:PR1- Developmental Bibliotherapy Based E-Books6 children's books worked with DBT methodology and 2 new books for children were designed. The books were related directly to each theme of the project: Soil, Water, Air, Clean Energy, Recycling, Future Professions and Volunteerism. The main result was transferred to digital platforms in 4 different formats and translated to 5 national partners' languages (EN, PL, TR, ES, LT, BG).PR2- Gamification and Interactive Based E-Learning PlatformAn e-learning platform designed for 9-12 ages. The platform dashboard includes 2 parts: For students and for teachers. (https://portal.listenproject.eu/home). The platform requires you to be registered. This is necessary to follow the process and see the missing tasks after each login. The content was divided 6 topics:Listen to The Voice of SoilListen to The Voice of WaterListen to The Voice of AirClean EnergyFuture Professions-VolunteerismCreative RecyclingThere is an introduction video, topic video and assessment quiz for each topic. 25 games were prepared according to age group to learn the topic easily (https://listenproject.eu/games/). The system is designed to download the certificate of completion of the course. When the tasks are completed a certificate in the name of the user is prepared and can be downloaded. There is also a FAQ section. The platform is available in 6 languages (EN, PL, TR, ES, LT, BG). PR3- Interactive Educational Content on Climate Change and Natural EnvironmentA frame was prepared and 9 lesson plans were prepared for each theme. Total 45 lesson plans were prepared by partners and integrated into the e-learning platform. (https://portal.listenproject.eu/module/10) Each theme was designed as a module and includes 9 subtitles. They include activity sheets, resources, assessment tools and necessary tools to implement. The result is available in 6 languages (EN, PL, TR, ES, LT, BG). To test the results by students and teachers, 2 Learning Teaching Training Activities were organized in Spain and Poland. Partners attended with 4 students (learners) and 2 teachers (accompanying person). A 5 day event was organized including workshops, social and cultural activities. Following their feedback and the necessary amendments, the revisions were made.Besides these 3 main results, LISTEN also delivered the following:Project website: https://listenproject.eu/ (multi language)Project logoDissemination planSustainability plan3 promotion videos (General introduction, Ltt-1 and Ltt-2)3 newsletters2 project posters (adapted to local languages)7 National Multiplier EventsPromotional MaterialsThe main results of LISTEN have been uploaded on the Erasmus project dissemination platform.
