"<< Background >>Our project targeted marginalized youth in Denmark and Norway, aiming to bridge the gap in understanding and involvement in the SDGs. By developing low-cost methods and tools, we sought to empower these communities and contribute to multiple SDGs. This initiative aligned with the objectives of CCCF and Creatorium, enhancing their ability to engage with marginalized groups and decipher complex SDG terminology. The project addressed marginalized youth's desire for recognition and integration into mainstream society by providing space for their narratives and empowering them through small SDG-related actions and long-term mentorship. The cross-country implementation fostered diversity of narratives and ideas, enriching experiences for both partners and participants.<< Objectives >>A model was developed for mobilizing and mentoring marginalized youths and communities to work with the SDGs. This increases the chances of reaching agenda 2030 by creating possible conditions for involving all, and ""leaving no one behind"" - no matter the resource base or background.<< Implementation >>1. An analysis was conducted into local narratives of sustainability and the SDGs in marginalized communities, examining how these related or compared with the mainstream SDGs agenda 2030.2. 16 youths were recruited as SDGs ambassadors in their communities, and a training, mentoring, and tools development process was developed and run with them on how to work with the SDGs and localize them in their context.3. Community activities and youth actions around the SDGs and components of the project were implemented.<< Results >>1. 16 youth SDGs ambassadors were mobilized and empowered and were championing actions in local communities.2. An analytical report of local vs. mainstream narratives on the SDGs and sustainability was compiled to bridge the gaps.3. 2 local actions based on SDGs were implemented across the two countries.4. A mentoring program was tested and adjusted for empowering marginalized youth to act around the SDGs.5. A methodology for mobilizing marginalized youths and communities to action was developed."
