<< Objectives >>The aim is to anchor person-centeredness as a key competence in higher education nursing programs in German-speaking countries (Austria, Germany, Italy [South Tyrol], Switzerland). To this end, a competency model is to be developed as the basis for a didactic material folder for promoting person-centered competencies in teaching, strategies for developing a person-centered teaching and learning culture, a concrete evaluation plan and a toolbox for implementing the evaluation.<< Implementation >>Experiences of students and teachers are collected and serve as a basis for the co-creative development and cross-national consensus-building of the competency model. This will be didactically concretized as a material folder and tested in practice. Strategies for person-centered cultural development will be developed through an expert workshop, among other things. After developing the tools for the evaluation, they are tested and adapted in practice before being finalized.<< Results >>The project will result in a broad data basis (best practices and stories) and contribute to an understanding of person-centered competencies and the necessary conditions. A cross-nationally consensual competency model will be available for the German-speaking countries, which can be implemented in educational practice through the didactic material folder. The evaluation plan and the toolbox will make it possible to evaluate competencies and the necessary conditions.
