<< Objectives >>FED-UP project aims to integrate the Sapere method, a sensory approach to nutrition education, into the Estonian education system, with a special focus on the Valga VET school. The project promotes healthy and sustainable nutrition among children, strengthening the capacity of the partners to address this objective in a systematic way. The general aim is to create a sustainable system where sensory nutrition education not only benefits students directly, but also has a wider societal impact.<< Implementation >>The Sapere training will be conducted by Finnish trainers to Estonian trainers, which includes both face-to-face and virtual training. Estonian trainers learn about the Netherlands' practice in implementing Sapere. Under the guidance of Finnish experts and mentors, the trained participants will pilot the Sapere method in Estonian kindergartens and visit Finnish schools implementing the method. The Sapere method will be integrated into the curricula of the Valga VET school.<< Results >>The main outcome is the increased capacity of Valga VET school and Tassitäis to implement Sapere method in Estonian education system, building on the Netherlands and Finnish experience. Strengthened international relations with Estonian, Finnish and Netherlands educational experts in the field of nutrition provide a good basis for further cooperation in the promotion of nutrition education, research in the field, and cooperation on the policies.
