EU Green Business Challenge Toolkit

<< Background >>We applied for this project to address the pressing needs of youth work organizations and the challenges related to environmental sustainability and the circular economy. Our aim was to empower youth and equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute to a greener future. We recognized the importance of providing a comprehensive toolkit that would enable youth work organizations to easily organize impactful events focused on climate change and the circular economy. The needs we addressed were the lack of accessible resources and guidance for youth work organizations to incorporate green initiatives, the need for inclusive and diverse programs, and the demand for effective tools to raise awareness and engage young people in environmental issues. By developing this toolkit, we aimed to fill these gaps and support youth work organizations in their efforts to create meaningful and sustainable projects for the benefit of both the environment and young participants.<< Objectives >>By implementing this project, our objectives were to achieve several key outcomes. Firstly, we aimed to develop and provide a comprehensive toolkit that would enable youth work organizations to create impactful events focused on the circular economy and climate change. Our goal was to equip these organizations with the necessary resources and guidance to engage young participants and promote environmental sustainability.Secondly, we sought to strengthen and professionalize youth work organizations by offering them a high-quality toolkit that would ensure the successful execution of events. We aimed to enhance their capabilities in organizing and delivering programs related to the green economy, thereby fostering their growth and effectiveness.Additionally, we aimed to contribute to the fight against climate change by enabling youth workers to work on circular economy topics and promote sustainable practices. By equipping young people with green skills and knowledge, we aimed to drive the transition towards a more sustainable future.Furthermore, our objectives included promoting inclusion and diversity in youth programs. We aimed to create a toolkit that would be accessible and applicable to youth from all backgrounds. << Implementation >>In our project, we implemented a range of activities to achieve our objectives. These activities included designing a comprehensive planning, preparation, implementation, and follow-up phase to ensure the successful development and deployment of the toolkit. We conducted extensive research and collaborated with youth work organizations to gather their feedback and incorporate it into the toolkit.A key activity was the testing of the toolkit through a pilot event in collaboration with youth work organizations from the region. This pilot event allowed us to put the toolkit into practice, assess its effectiveness, and gather valuable data and insights for further improvements. Workshops, training sessions, mentoring, coaching, and networking activities were organized as part of the pilot event.Throughout the project, we actively exploited our partnership to provide guidance and support to youth work organizations during the implementation of the EU Green Business Challenge toolkit. We offered assistance in boosting the green economy, developing and teaching green skills, and integrating sustainability into their programs and activities.We also placed a strong emphasis on dissemination and promotion. We utilized various platforms s<< Results >>The concrete outputs of our project include the development of the EU Green Business Challenge toolkit, which consists of handbooks, process descriptions, schedules, contracts, formats, instructions, and manuals. Additionally, we conducted a successful pilot event where workshops, mentoring sessions, networking opportunities, and pitching sessions took place. The project resulted in enhanced green skills and competencies among participants, increased awareness of environmental challenges, and the establishment of partnerships with youth work organizations. The dissemination of the toolkit and project outcomes through various platforms, conferences, and websites further contributed to its impact.
