DEMAIN Vers la transition agro-écologique en viticulture

<< Background >>The need was obvious to the lead partner - the Nouvelle-Aquitaine food agency and the Blanquefort viticultural college: climate change is having a major impact on vineyard management. More than 3,000 hectares have been grubbed up in the Bordeaux region, and there have been episodes of hail, drought and changes in consumption patterns (young people are turning to beer). The direct consequence for agricultural schools is a drop in the number of pupils. The same is true of our European partners, who are experiencing major upheavals in the agricultural sector. In addition, it was important to understand how to act on the ecological transition, what measures to propose, what lessons to teach our students, how to involve them in these new challenges and also how to think about future training. Through exchanges between schools, we also needed to learn how to diversify, adapt and change our production and processing methods. The TOMORROW project was designed to meet this challenge of adapting and adapting our training to meet the demands of tomorrow's wine industry.<< Objectives >>Our aims with this project :- To understand the levels of commitment to agro-ecology in wine education in each of our European partners - To facilitate the exchange of best practice between students and teachers in order to study the measures taken to promote agroecology in viticulture: - Involve European pupils in a common challenge: the agro-ecological transition- Equip pupils with skills in the 3 central themes of agro-ecology: Producing differently by rethinking our production systems, basing them on optimal use of resources and natural mechanisms; - Preserving the resources on which our wine production is based and on which we depend; - Responding to society's legitimate demand for winegrowing to move towards new growth models. (winegrowers and local residents) - Provide teachers with the tools they need to learn how to produce differently. - Enable company representatives to adapt/transfer the practices studied. - Discover the identity and culture of the partner regions. - Work to put in place measures to combat this ecological crisis at our own level.<< Implementation >>This project required us to put in place a 3-year strategy to coordinate teacher mobility, student mobility and the involvement of everyone in exchanges and in the drafting of our work materials and deliverables. Our method (explained in the practical guide). YOUNG PEOPLE AND TEACHERS MOBILITY - 1. 5/6-day meetings and exchanges between young people and teachers in 5 countries - The method: Games as a means of learning good practice and a vehicle for the agro-ecological transition and adaptation to climate change: The most important part of the Erasmus project is to raise awareness and help learners (pupils/students/technicians) take on board the issue of climate change, as they will be faced with these problems in their future careers. During each mobility period, the students were asked to work in transnational groups on the various themes studied, in order to pass on their knowledge to their peers (workshops, games, work sessions to integrate the cultural and social practices of each other). The creation of these games has led learners in the five countries to reflect together, either independently or accompanied by teachers and technicians, not only on the problems of the agro-ecological transition and climate change<< Results >>Our programme was completed in full and beyondWe held 4 transnational meetings 5 meetings between students entitled ‘J'IRAIS VINIFIER CHEZ TOI’ (I WILL WINE AT YOUR HOME)3 meetings entitled ‘J'IRAIS ENSEIGNER CHEZ TOI’ teachers to discuss practices and techniques in the winegrowing sectorOUR DELIVERABLESCollective work to produce high-quality materials1 - PRACTICAL GUIDE (FR/EN) entitled ‘Step-by-step guide to adapting practices to promote the ecological transition in winegrowing’ - comprising 22 practical sheets.Link in French: https://www.calameo.com/read/00631646828a64d259f52Link in English: https://www.calameo.com/books/006316468f70f1d89cbf510 educational tutorials available on our you tube channel and on lab'alimentationThe link: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLV-ut0FbM7W1a2LQHwdgWDiJPewmYdJ8f1 - A document entitled ‘Risk prevention in vineyards’ for migrant workers - in English and Arabic.Links :https://www.lab-alimentation-nouvelle-aquitaine.fr/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/DOC_PREVENTION_ANGLAIS.pdfhttps://www.lab-alimentation-nouvelle-aquitaine.fr/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/DOC_PREVENTION_ARABE.pdfA 7-family game for youngsters to raise awareness of climate change and the issues involved.and more
