InclusiVET: Bridging Skills and Accessibility in Vocational Training for the Hearing-Impaired

<< Objectives >>The primary objective of this project is to create an inclusive online vocational training platform, integrating AR and VR technologies to foster a rich, interactive learning environment for the hearing-impaired. By developing standardised sign language tools and fostering industry partnerships for apprenticeships and job opportunities, we aspire to empower the hearing-impaired individuals with necessary vocational skills, thus facilitating their seamless integration into the labour market.<< Implementation >>We'll initiate with a kick-off meeting, followed by development of a Unified Sign Language Manual. Tailored sign language vocabularies for specific industries will be created. An e-learning platform with training modules using AR & VR technologies tailored for hearing-impaired learners will be set up. Subsequently, we'll establish an Assessment and Certification system. Multiplier events in partner countries will disseminate project outcomes, culminating in a final meeting to review achievements<< Results >>We anticipate a standardized sign language framework, industry-specific vocabularies for vocational training, and an e-learning platform integrating AR & VR technologies for an immersive learning experience tailored for hearing-impaired learners. Additionally, a robust assessment and certification system will validate acquired skills, while multiplier events will broaden reach. Collaborative efforts will strengthen partnerships, enhancing educational opportunities and labor market integration.
