Art for Heart's Sake

<< Objectives >>‘Art for Heart’s Sake’, is an ambitious creative project designed to impact positively on schools’ ability to meet the needs of diverse groups. The project objectives are to promote inclusion and diversity and enhance key competences. These will be achieved through participation in creative arts. The project will particularly support disadvantaged and marginalised participants and those who suffer from poor mental health. It will promote creativity and its benefits, in all our organisations.<< Implementation >>The activities will be an exploration of individual cultural arts heritage, and collaborating to create a fusion of this knowledge into innovative arts resources: a playscript, dances, musical pieces, costumes, scenery, artworks, digital media and performance. These will be born out of students’ ideas, during transnational meetings and pursued by school communities thereafter. Key competences will be advanced during group work in schools and support for inclusion will ensure full participation.<< Results >>The project will result in a staff better equipped to meet the needs of students, synergies between organisations outside of education, happier, creative communities that encourage inclusion, diversity, better mental health and well-being. The project will result in green practices being embedded in schools and a suite of creative arts resources available open-source. Students will have enhanced key competences, and through transnational participation, have gained new experiences and friends.
