Wellbeing of digitalized societies and workplace: Ethical guidelines

"<< Background >>Digiality has become the cultural context of everyone, in society, at work places, in private life as well as in church life. Still quite rarely, digitality and digitisation is looked at in a comprehensive way or under ethical perspectives. As the digital world uses an increasing amount of natural resources, it needs to be shaped in a sustainable manner, which means to always consider economical, ecological and social values.the project wanted to do so and bring together reflection in the field of economy and ethics, research and practical work.Digitalität ist zum kulturellen Kontext geworden aller Lebenswelten: Der Gesellschaft, der Arbeitswelt, im Privaten und auch für die Kirchen. Digitalisierung wird aber selten in einem umfassenden Sinn beschrieben oder nach ethischen Kriterien ausgerichtet. Soziale, ökologische und ökonomische Nachhaltigkeit, kann und soll eine umfassende ethische Leitlinie für die Gestaltung der Digitalisierung werden.Diese Zusammenschau will das Projekt leisten und damit die Bereiche der Wirtschaft und der Ethik, von Forschung und Praxis zusammen bringen. << Objectives >>In a common and shared reflection, experts from companies, political decision makers, society and churches are working on ethical and practical guidelines for ""Digitisation which serves life"".Im Gespräch mit Fachleuten aus Unternehmen, Politik, Gesellschaft und Kirche sollen ethische und prakische Leitlinien für eine Digitalisierung, die dem Lebendigen dient, erarbeitet werden.<< Implementation >>Starting point was the conference in Strasbourg when MEP Mia-Petra Kumpula-Natri and MEP Alexandra Geese discussed with participants, and also experts were contributing.A workshop was organised in Helsinki, also with experts from politics and companies.A concluding workshop took place in Mannheim.(See the detailled programmes and names of the speakers in the attached files)At each one of the meetings, elements of the guidelines were drafted and then via online-tools worked on them (in an international drafting committee) to be finally published end of february 2023on ""www.CALL-for-digital-wellbeing.eu"".the project coordinator gave public speeches and had discussions with broader public also with economic actors.Die Durchführung einer Auftakt-Tagung im Gespräch mit EU-Parlamentarierinnen und Fachleuten in Strasbourg,die Durchführung eines Workshop Tags in Helsinki die Durchführung eines (Abschluß-) workshops in Mannheim .Die Programme der drei Veranstaltungen sind als Anhang hochgeladen.Begleitend hat der Projekt-Koordinator Vorträge in Stuttgart und Ulm gehalten und aus den Diskussionen weitere Impulse aufgenommen.<< Results >>Besides a many new networks created and existing contacts deepened, the aim of the project was to elaborate ethical guidelines which was achieved end of february on the projects website:www.CALL-for-digital.wellbeing.eu .Cf. also: ""Impact"" and ""follow up""Die Veröffentlichung der im Projekt erarbeiteten 34 Thesen am Ende des Projekts auf der Website www.CALL-for-digital.wellbeing.eu S. aber auch Kapitel ""Impact und Follow-Up""!"
