<< Objectives >>The main objective of STAY is training farmers to start up & manage agrotourism businesses, as a complement to farming income, by a 2-way approach: addressing professionals, teachers, trainers, advisors (indirect) and farmers (direct). Related objectives are generating local awareness by enhancing the tourist value of rural heritage, promoting proactive entrepreneurial spirit encouraging multifunctionality, retaining young people in rural areas and exchanging experiences among participants.<< Implementation >>Several activities will be implemented, such as summary report on agrotourism based on National reports, specific up-to-date professional training curriculum, e-learning platform including case studies & training modules, pilot testing, training meeting for trainers, project meetings (in person & virtual), mainstreaming actions, dissemination conferences and other dissemination activities (website, leaflet, mailing, newsletter, social media, etc.).<< Results >>STAY will provide a summary report on agrotourism (based on reports from Slovenia, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Czech Republic and European data), 18 European case studies, a specific professional curriculum to be inserted into training programmes (university, VET, MOOC), an e-learning platform (with introductory videos, training modules and self-assessment) for entrepreneurs and professionals in agrotourism, a project website, a training meeting for technicians and dissemination products.
