<< Background >>Sometimes, children may have unexpected behaviours and attitudes that apparently do not correspond to the gender they have been assigned based on their sex. These attitudes and behaviours are called non-normative gender behaviour, because they are an expression of masculinity or femininity that is outside the social norm, and do not correspond to the stereotype of a woman or a man.AGDISTIS aimed to provide a response to the problem, both to the victims and to the teachers, through the solutions that Emotional Intelligence can provide. Needs addressed:-Advice to pupils and teachers about bullying due to sexual orientation and gender identity.-Lack of resources for victims to express their bullying problem.- There is a need for a safe and trusting way of communication.-Resources and tools to deal with the problem.- Information and awareness raising in the classroom.- Publicising cases of bullying through the expression of non-normative behaviour.-Tools and resources for teaching respect for gender diversity in the classroom.- Didactic methodologies to show the consequences of gender-based bullying.-Knowledge of students and teachers about historical and current lgtbi references to address gender diversity.<< Objectives >>The established objectives and the tangible results that the project will achieve (materials and didactic resources) had been designed to use Emotional Intelligence resources in education, with the purpose of generating spaces in the classroom of respect for diversity and inclusion of difference and to achieve the recognition, validation and integration of non-normative behaviours through the work of the key social and civic competences. The specific objectives to be achieved are the following:1.To raise awareness and sensitise at least 600 local educational communities in the project countries on the need to prevent the risk of social exclusion of older people due to social isolation.
