<< Objectives >>Fast or cheap fashion encourages mass consumption of clothing, but at the same time it also increases the number of discarded textiles that end up in landfills. Due to the growing awareness of environmental protection, the reduction of waste textiles/clothes and the focus on sustainability, is absolutely necessary to process textiles and textile products and reuse them in a new product. That's why we decided on the Big going small (BIGS) project, making child wear out of the adult ones.<< Implementation >>The idea of processing and reusing used clothes will develop creativity, find new solutions and encourage one's own imagination in creating new fashion creations for children. As this is a new approach, new didactic material will arise. At the same time, we also want to contribute to technological development, which would manifest itself in the digital field, when processing old/used clothes by learning how to use proper software for textile/fashion design, modelling and tailoring.<< Results >>The results we want to achieve is a new collection of child wear made out of the used adult clothes or waste textile material supported with the didactic material for educational purpose in VET-TECH schools. All participants will learn how to research, use appropriate software and apps for designing, modelling and tailoring and support creativity towards environmental sustainability by using the ideas of new reuse clothes design approach.
