GENERACTION : make youth the true actor of the fight against climate change in Europe!

<< Objectives >>GENERACTION is a European project led by young people for young people. The consortium of partners seeks to promote active citizenship in the environmental field. Young people are generally the most aware and committed citizens on climate change, yet the most unheard ones. This project aims to empower young people on environmental issues by giving them the tools and knowledge to be heard by stakeholders. We want to legitimise the youth's fight against climate change.<< Implementation >>The project encompasses a range of activities relating to environmental issues at the European level. It has 3 distinct but complementary parts: awareness-raising, training and advocating. We raise young people's awareness of these issues through an informal educational approach. We train consortium members in environmental issues and European civic participation mechanisms. Together, we develop policy proposals to influence decision-making.<< Results >>We expect four types of results. Firstly, through this project we will develop innovative and reusable pedagogical materials on environmental and European issues. We will also have the opportunity to disseminate the content and proposals to reach a large audience from all EU. The synergies we create with our partners will help our trainees and our organisations to acquire new skills. We also believe that this project will improve European cooperation between stakeholders.
