ESCAPE to learn: Enhancing social and emotional skills through game-based digital learning

<< Objectives >>The ESCAPE to Learn project aims to enhance social and emotional learning (SEL) in primary education through educational escape rooms. It seeks to develop a structured methodology, train teachers in game-based digital learning, and implement the approach in 200 students across four countries. The project will create an open-access platform, provide teacher training, and ensure long-term sustainability by integrating the methodology into educational practices.<< Implementation >>The project will develop a structured methodology for educational escape rooms, including 10 thematic models adapted for primary education. Activities include teacher training (LTTA, workshops, online modules), pilot testing with 200 students, and impact assessment. An open-access platform will host materials, while dissemination and multiplier events will ensure sustainability. The project fosters cross-border collaboration to integrate SEL into digital education.<< Results >>The project will produce a structured methodology for educational escape rooms, 10 thematic models, and a teacher guide for integrating SEL in primary education. It will develop an open-access online platform with training materials, case studies, and digital tools. Expected outcomes include 200 students improving social-emotional skills, trained teachers implementing the methodology, and increased adoption of game-based learning in European schools.
