Leveraging Music as a Tool of Inclusion for Migrants and Refugees

<< Objectives >>Our projects aim to raise the capacity of youth workers to:- Fight against xenophobia, racism, and discrimination - Address the needs of young migrant and young refugees- Help their inclusion in society via the use of music activities as a tool of non-formal education and as an instrument for creating meaningful interactions between local communities and young foreigners.Music is an invaluable instrument for fostering social cohesion, communication, and understanding.<< Implementation >>We are going to implement:- 4 transnational meetings to exchange musical good practices addressing social inclusion- Create a manual of good practices- Implement a training course about the music as a tool for the inclusion of young migrants and refugees- A series of local activities in each partner country for 80 young people- An awareness campaign and 4 multiplier event to promote the results of the project (1 in each country)<< Results >>We expect the results of our project to be the creation of a manual of good practice and the use and dissemination of these attractive educational methods. We expect these tool and methods to contribute to the inclusion of young migrants and refugees in civil society and foster their acceptance by the local communities.
