Rural Greeners

<< Background >>We applied for this project to address the lack of visibility and access to opportunities for entrepreneurs in rural areas, especially those developing sustainability-related initiatives. These populations face geographical disadvantages that hinder their awareness of and access to programs such as Erasmus+. We identified needs such as the scarcity of qualified employment, lack of training, and difficulties in accessing international networks. This project aims to serve as a bridge between Erasmus+ and rural territories by offering entrepreneurial training, development of green skills, and the promotion of active citizenship. It aligns with the EU’s objectives of protecting the environment and promoting economic, social, and territorial cohesion. By strengthening local capacities and fostering knowledge sharing, the project contributes to more innovative, resilient rural communities that are integrated into a more sustainable and prosperous Europe.<< Objectives >>General Objective:-Promote and strengthen green entrepreneurshipSpecific Objectives:-Create a network for contact and exchange among rural entrepreneurs-Facilitate the sharing of experiences, knowledge, and skills among entrepreneurs-Provide training for entrepreneurs in areas that meet their specific needs-Encourage green entrepreneurship within the school community-Share experiences with partners at a transnational level-Disseminate the project’s results<< Implementation >>The activities implemented were:-Creation of a group of green entrepreneurs in each partner country-In-person and virtual meetings of the Rural Greeners groups for skills development-Workshops for the Rural Greeners focused on strengthening their projects/initiatives-Transnational meetings for sharing experiences-School visits to inspire young people to get involved in green entrepreneurship<< Results >>-Training of entrepreneurs in their areas of interest-Opportunities for green entrepreneurs in rural areas-Inspiration for rural youth through visits to secondary schools-Development of innovative projects thanks to the training provided to the Rural Greeners-Delivery of 24 training sessions-Online international activities-2 in-person transnational meetings-1 online transnational meeting
