Skills for inclusion in society

<< Background >>The concreate general objective which this project is aiming to fulfil is to improve the inclusion of dual diagnosed adults in the society and the labour market. In line with the general objective the project also has two concrete specific objectives. The first specific objective is to improve the individual skills of the target group of dual diagnosed adults and the second specific objective is to strengthen the organisational capacity and the competences of the individual professional working with reintegration of dual diagnosed adults. In order to achieve the specific objective, the project is confident that it will to be able to reach the general objective.The results that the project would like to realise connected to the first specific objective are improvement of the knowledge of the labour market of dual diagnosed adults, strengthening the soft skills of dual diagnose adults and improvement in the individual motivation of the dual diagnose adults. The results that the project aims at realising in connection to the second objective is increased motivation of the staff working with dual diagnosed adults.<< Objectives >> The needs that were identified among dual diagnosed adults was the need to improve the knowledge of the labour market, the need of stronger soft skills as well as the need of stronger individual motivation. In line with this the need that was identified among the staff working with dual diagnosed adults was for them to also have a stronger motivation in their work. The project adress these in formulating activities that will reach expected results which will answer to the needs.Working with soft skills and getting the target group out on the labor market will require a lot of work, it will not only be to find a company that can take them, it will also require support during their stay there. If you are hiring for example a person that is autistic situations can emerge that is hard for the company to handle, so they need to have someone to call to get help and knowledge to handle it.<< Implementation >>First and second Seminar with experts, studyvisits among the participants, 3 different testing projects, coordination meetings, exchange of experience. Social inclusion among the targetgroup in the testing phase. Final meeting. We did in our seminar follow the project plan so we included all the parts we said we would do but between the physical meetings we had several meetings on Zoom for discussion about coming events but also obstacles that happened. During our discussions we decided that our testing phase will include three different tests, still in the line of the project but to get as much out of the project as we could. Thas why one part tested job coaching with individuals, one tested more social inclusion and the last tested a webbshop where people could produce things and sell. In the webbshop they also included people for other parts of social services like people with physical handicaps to make the shop bigger.We learned a lot in this project about the target group but also how to work with other involved in the target groups lives, like hospitals, social service etc. << Results >>The first activity helped the project to reach the second objective to strengthen the organisational capacity and the competences of the individual professional working with reintegration of dual diagnosed.The participating organisations did benefit from this activity since they got a deeper understanding of how to increase the knowledge about the labour market for dual diagnosed adults. The exchange of practices, experiences and support from the experts gave the participating organisationa a deeper understanding and strengthen their work with dual diagnosed adults. One of the parts that tested job coaching with people also worked on a model that can be used for other individuals in the future. During our discussion we realized that the labor market is hard to get into if you don't have the right education, the right experience, don't manage the language properly for example and that means our target group is far down on the list on people that companies are looking for. We can clearly see that companies is taking a bigger social responsibility but it still means its a long road to go to get them stable on the labor market.
