<< Background >>Nowadays, when our planet faces unprecedented environmental and climate challenges, we wanted to promote responsible consumption of resources among students and active involvement in environmental protection.Young people need to start thinking critically and with tolerant attitudes about environmental degradation and to become active factors, acting and modifying their own lifestyle as well as that of people in community. We proposed to help students reflect on how our behaviours affect our environment, in order to develop their critical approach and encourage proactive behaviours and active citizenship skills. Taking into consideration the European Green Deal partners promoted sustainable attitudes to students to ensure better living conditions in the future. We aimed to encourage students to become active factors in environmental protection, acting and changing theirown lifestyle as well as that of those around them. The project idea was to make comparison and to exchange best practices of environmental problems and solutions applied in its protection in various European geographic regions. << Objectives >>The main purpose of this project was to make young people start thinking critically and with tolerant attitudes about environmental degradation and to encourage them to become active factors of environmental protection, acting and modifying their own lifestyle as well as that of people in community. project activities leaded to creation environmentally aware European and global citizens feeling the responsibility for the nature and for humans’ health, creation of sustainable attitudes about protecting the environment, raised awareness for students on environmental problems and actions which have to be undertaken from the perspective of people living in different European areas. Students became aware of the fact that they can make a significant contribution to a sustainable environment and lifestyle, to ensure better living conditions in the future, by acting and changing their own lifestyle as well as that of those around them and by promoting the values needed to raise committed European conscious citizens. Students developed IT and language skills by creating and using the Green Deal Toolkit (webquests, quizzes, vlogs, podcasts), the project website, during the project activities.<< Implementation >>The project was divided into six stages dealling with EU policy areas, each related to the expertise and geographical location of the European partners involved: The European Green Deal - turning an urgent challenge into a unique opportunity – RO; Accelerating the shift to sustainable and smart mobility – PL; From ‘Farm to Fork’: designing a fair, healthy and environmentally - friendly food system – IT; Preserving and restoring ecosystems and biodiversity – PT; A zero pollution ambition for a toxic-free environment. Plastic and water pollution. Ways of eliminating pollution – GR; Moving towards a clean and circular economy. Fast fashion, freecycle – LT.During 2 years of project we made comparison and exchanged best practices of environmental problems and solutions applied in its protection in various European geographic regions.Students prepared institutional campaigns to raise awareness to environmental problems and factors that threaten local ecosystems, the stability of the Earth and the health of us all launching podcasts, vlogs for explaining how addressing sustainability challenges can help us address climate change, inequality, biodiversity and other 'wicked' problems. Also, in each partner school yard was created an eco garden that was maintained by students permanently and a sensory path which gave students a chance to spend a few minutes of their school day walking, jumping, bouncing and “pushing themselves through their distractions”. Each partner collected necessary information about the problems that appear or are being resolved in their regions, and they also organised environmental days included in the ecologist's calendar: world water protection day, forest day, earth day, world environment day etc. All the intercultural activities planned by all partners both as local work and as in LTTs ones were directly linked with the project objectives and the selected horizontal and additional priorities: ecological educational activities, volunteering, selective waste collection activities, eco garden care activities, but also outdoor and open educational activities on ecology, on diet that is healthy for the human body and has a low impact on the environment and natural resources, on eliminating pollution, on freecycle, and IT activities - preparing an institutional campaign, Green Deal Toolkit, working on the project website.<< Results >>All the activities mentioned above had the following final products and results: -the project website https://did-clio.net/let'sGoGreen/ -the eTwinning platform was used to share the outputs of the project's activities https://twinspace.etwinning.net/178984/home-teachers from each partner school designed webquests to celebrate the environmental days that are scheduled globally throughout the year, in order to draw attention to the effects of living in a polluted, dirty environment full of toxic substances-an eco garden and a sensory path were created in each partner school (an effective way not only to connect students to nature and improve their respect for the environment, but also to provide them with a wealth of learning opportunities and to develop a wide range of skills (sciences, arts, mathematics etc) -a Green Deal Toolkit for teaching purposes, which contains webquests related to the 6 project topics; interactive quizzes developed by students, focusing on the 6 topics covered throughout the project (Kahoots), Hall of Fame: examples of successful environmental projects from the 6 partner countries (routes, eco-farms, school projects, young people who made important strides to protect the environment, environmentally friendly local initiatives), Sway presentations created by students.
