NaTural language processing, machine lEarning and other computational tools to realize New formS and Interfaces for written LanguagE and arts

<< Objectives >>TENSILE aims to promote cross-curricular collaboration, innovative learning and competency-based teaching in secondary education through the development of a novel STEAM methodology that introduces fundamental Artificial Intelligence and Computational principles through Literature. Through this approach teachers will bring new perspectives and approaches to their teaching, engage students in innovative and creative ways and elevate awareness of STEAM education among stakeholders.<< Implementation >>TENSILE will:- Develop a Digital Lab with applications/tools supporting projects in the AI and Literature through STEAM domain making them available online together with complete use cases- Design a course on theoretical approaches and practical guidelines for the implementation of the above approaches in the classroom- Pilot the above methodologies across a community of European schools and evaluate the teachers feedback.- Increase the project impact through a number of planned activities.<< Results >>Through TENSILE, teachers, by involving their students in STEAM education activities, will act as facilitators in executing algorithmic thinking and machine learning, helping students discover the world of literature as creators; thus, addressing emerging societal challenges. At the same time, the teachers who make up the target group can act as leaders by guiding teachers of οther fields to engage by developing interdisciplinary learning models.
