ZRÓWNOWAŻONA MODA – “STOP FAST FASHION”

"<< Background >>The STOP FAST FASHION project was launched in response to the growing negative environmental impact of the fashion industry and low consumer awareness. Fast fashion generates huge amounts of textile waste, consumes significant water and energy resources, and contributes to greenhouse gas emissions. In partner countries, there's a noticeable lack of environmental education regarding conscious consumer choices, especially among young people and those in vocational training in the clothing industry. The project addressed the need to provide practical educational tools for teachers, trainers, and career counselors that could be easily integrated into lessons. It also aimed to increase local community engagement in pro-environmental activities.<< Objectives >>The main goal of the STOP FAST FASHION project was to prepare young people, students, and teachers to actively participate in the fashion industry in a mindful and sustainable way. It also aimed to raise their awareness of how fast fashion affects the environment and local communities. The project focused on creating practical solutions and developing the skills needed to bring about change in the fashion industry, promoting a more responsible approach. By educating and promoting sustainable fashion, it addressed global environmental challenges while encouraging support for local designers and producers. This, in turn, boosted consumer awareness and promoted the choice of local, ethical brands. This initiative aligned with vocational education and training priorities by providing forward-looking tools to combat the effects of fast fashion. As a result, teachers were equipped to effectively educate young people about responsible fashion, and students were prepared to enter the workforce with the skills to implement eco-friendly solutions in the clothing sector. The project inspired entire communities to make conscious purchasing decisions and support a circular economy.<< Implementation >>In this project, the partners undertook the following groups of activities:International meetings of partner experts - an exchange of knowledge, experience, and ideas.Promotion of the ""Stop Fast Fashion"" concept in the form of a competition during ErasmusDays 2024.Substantive, technological, and graphic development of educational materials for teachers, educators, students, and pupils.Development of promotional materials, including infographics, thematic articles, video interviews, and promotional films.Conducting a promotional campaign based on the materials created (on partner social media, feriplatform.org.pl, nalekcje.pl, Kurier Oświęcimski, Macedonian television, the EPALE Platform, and others).Testing of the developed educational materials through in-person workshops in both countries.Promotion of the materials during webinars and workshops among participants from various European countries.Promotion of the materials at various national and international events and meetings (lectures, mobilities, conferences, webinars).Dissemination of the project and the ""Stop Fast Fashion"" concept during the Final Conference held as part of the Circulab festival.Project management and coordination.<< Results >>Key Results:2 e-learning courses: ""Stop Fast Fashion: Practical Tools for Educators"" and ""From Fast Fashion to Sustainable Fashion.""2 multimedia presentations to support practical workshops: ""Mission: Upcycling Creativity"" and ""Upcycling - Mission Revival.""3 teacher's lesson plans covering three thematic modules:Module 1: From Fast Fashion to Sustainable FashionModule 2: Zero Waste Fashion – Ecology, Creativity, AwarenessModule 3: Recreate, Reuse, ReinventEach module includes a dedicated multimedia presentation, worksheets/exercises (a total of 30), and an educational podcast (a total of 14).1 multimedia game6 infographics11 thematic articles1 video interview4 educational and promotional films5 webinars8 educational workshops83 people received certificates.1 international conference with fashion shows.5 interviews about the project and the ""Stop Fast Fashion"" idea on Macedonian television.4 articles on the EPALE platform.Project information was shared by partners on social media (FB, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube), on partner websites, on feriplatform.org.pl, nalekcje.pl, express.mk, and in the Kurier Oświęcimski newspaper (2 articles). All materials are available in 3 languages: PL, MK, ENG.."
